    Ever heard of re-routing the DNS to another server? Or how about doing this in the middle of the night when there's probably a few thousand less people looking to get to these sites?

    I'm sorry, but that's piss poor business to have your server down during business hours and it makes Linux look bad.

    I for one wouldn't mind an 800MHz MIPS in my next SGI! Probably an R12K or R14K.

    It's not so much that MS is losing their strangle hold, but more like there's actually a viable alternative now that attracts a large number of people. What was there before? OS/2? Netware? Not much, really. Linux is a totally viable alternative to MS products, and the customers are speaking loud and clear - it's about time companies LISTENED.

    That Mac looks 100% better already... I hope it's the quality of the image/compression - but that black on the side looks flat. Eeew. I'd have used semi-gloss, personally. But either way, it looks a helluva lot better than that Bondi Blue B.S. :)

    Um, DEC VAX and PDP machines, SGI and Sun have been doing this since day one, back in like, the 70's and 80's. Ever heard of the FlexLM license on SGIs by chance? Ever install vertical market software on a VAX?

    This shit is so old it stinks. Another example of Intel finally catching up to what's been out for YEARS (er, decades).
