Call of Duty 4
Absolutely beautiful. Fluid gameplay, constant intense action, Great story.
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Such a sweet game, the graphics are delicious, the gameplay is fantastic. The replay value seems near infinite and one of the best multiplayer games I have ever played.
Assassin's Creed
Vast Beautiful lands with free roaming much like GTA series. Intense action, fluid gameplay. Tends to get a little redundant but if you play the same each time, it would be. Changing plans per assassin is able and suggested.
Guitar Hero III
Simply fun! Great song lists, online multiplayer, Coop story, better gameplay. Guitar Hero II and Guitar Hero III are some fantastic party games.

This game was so addicting is incredible. My brain felt alive. Not to mention how funny it was. The female voice was perfect but I only giggle like a schoolgirl when a kitten sniffs my eye.
If anyone want to play Guitar Hero III for xbox my nick is Stink Sleeve
...which was flying at 500 feet during routine patrol in Bakersfield, California. When the light hit the cockpit, it disoriented the Kern County Sheriff's pilot, causing pain and discomfort in his eyes for a couple of hours... Are they piloting the jet from Wonder Women where the entire craft is invisible? Is there no instrumentation underneath them that would block such a straight line from the shaky hand of the laser holder?
This might be a knee-jerk reaction but I'm sorry but I can't say that I believe someone was 'injured' by the laser with the information here.

I understand your statement but I wouldn't classify this as milking. I personally am thrilled that there is more from these tales.
Here is a short list of milking IMO Rocky 5 & 6 Beverly Hills copy 3 Freddy vs Jason Missing in action 3 American Ninja 3,4,V The Next Karate Kid Lethal weapon 2,3
Can you tell my age?
I personally am excited to see more.
FYI: I wanted to post a link to Entertainment Weekly's list of 25 bad sequels but the list is 1 movie per page x 25 pages with 6 ads per page. f that s. 150 ads per person for the whole list? Now I remember why I ceased interest in EW.
...the University appears to argue that the Court should reconsider its Order granting
Plaintiffs' leave to take early discovery because the "record shows more intent to harass than
anything else," and because Plaintiffs' discovery is supposedly "fairly characterized as a fishing
expedition." It really does feel like the RIAA is nearing its end.
Let's not forget that this gives opportunity to smaller companies that still will have payphones available. Maybe not as many as you are used to but still having them. Their use is not yet lost.
If a band is paid $2 for the royalty on each album, then $2 is what the album itself is worth. Do away with the middle man and sell me the product for $2. Or charge $4 if you like, as the artist. I couldn't agree more. It has always seemed to me that people bought the $18-$20 CDs because they had to. That led to a 'revolution' if you will (I know that people steal just to steal). Proces are way too high at $20 per. That price has nothing to do with me as the consumer.
~ I pay for the bandwidth on the Internet. ~ I paid for the DVD which the music is on the soundtrack ~ I bought the game which the video is on the soundtrack and now sometimes as a poster on the wall. ~ I bought the gas to drive to a friends house to hear the music he bought (Avenged Sevenfold) ~ I Logged into MySpace (or whatever) and saw it there.
There is no more reason for the consumer to pay the ridiculous fees anymore used to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Payolagreasing DJ's, research and development or whatever. Sure, there was a time when we had no choice but not anymore and the record companies just can't get past that.
Maybe we can come up with a unified way to shorten urls per site. By that I mean each website has their own 'tinyurl' service built into it. That way internally each can keep their site's urls shorter and no fear of services disappearing that would break the link to content in forums and such.
Either using mod_redirect like 'website.xxx/sdoifghis' or using GET directives like 'website.xxx?url=sdoifghis'
I suppose also the pagerank would still rate the site itself and not tinyurl. But then again I am just getting to my coffee and my brain was up until 2am playing Company of Heroes.
Rumor had it that Earthlink was to embed ads into pages viewed through their wifi system. I can't site source right now because it has been so long. Clearly a violation now but at the time it may not have been understood that way.
When I was a wee lad living in Boston I used to see green Federal Communication box trucks driving around. This was in the 1980 though.
It also fuels my feeling that the FCC needs to be elected, not appointed. Those who are given the job probably won't take it as seriously as those who had to work for it.
A similar point can be made from something I have issues with.
I live in New Hampshire, USA and some of you may know that this is a motorcycle state where there are 10s of thousands of motorcycles riding around in the warm weather.
It is unfortunate for me that half of these motorcycles are extremely loud on purpose. The louder the bike, the cooler the rider I suppose. The problem with this is that there are plenty of times where bikers ride in packs. So you will have 10 or 20 in a pack riding past you on the street completely drowning out any sound. Your voice, your phone and even invading your music player. The only thing you can hear is the awful throaty rumblings of a 120+ db of the 'hogs'.
Of course it is not just me in this society so although I take extreme issue with this noise pollution. I deal with it on the outside. But it is also unfortunate that this same decibel level invades my home when they drive by. Windows and doors closed, still any sound gets drowned out. And believe me the tv is one thing, but when I am in my own home on the phone and a motorcycle rides by and keeps me from hearing my conversation I feel my rights are being taken away from me.
I posed a question to a stranger at the parking lot which serves both our Post Office and state run liquor store. The question was along the lines of 'how you could in good conscience ride around knowing that you are intruding on peoples rights?' His answer was very interesting. (paraphrasing) "It is my right to have my bike as loud as I want.".
Of course my thoughts went to where is my right to not have to listen to it? Does one right supersede the other?
I guess my point (if I have one) here is that FCC regulations aside, we as a society need to do what is best for society and not the individual.
Although this is another topic entirely you may or may not be aware of what parents abilities are now with their children.
If children are yelled at, scolded or reprimanded harshly they get a psychologist telling them they had bad parents.
If they are so outrageous and need to be jolted back to reality via a slap or spanking, a parent will get their kids taken away by child services due to child abuse.
If those kids aren't civil to begin with there is unfortunately nothing you can do until they reach the age of reason. The best thing for the parent(s) to do would be to leave that area, and that should be mentioned to the parent(s). But I understand that alot of the time parents refuse to acknowledge the discomfort of those around them.
More on topic... I believe that social interaction should be taught in school as well as in the home. It seems that this area is mostly left unspoken. Kids and teenagers need to be shown how to be in public not just expected to be. Once this is learned in childhood it will be developed in adulthood.
In case anyone wonders, I have two daughters. A 5 year old and a 3 year old. Only once has the 3 year old been out of control in public and it was in a Polar Express event during the reading. I as an aware parent took my daughter outsode until she cooled off. No slapping involved.
Here are some excerpts from the USPTO employment website.
Bring the spirit of progress to life What!?!
We are always looking for talented Patent Examiners. It should say 'still looking...'. It seems to me that these positions have not been filled.
I am pretty particular about having certain Government jobs as elected positions and I fully believe this is one of them.
But let's start by electing FCC officials first, not appointing them. Too many friends giving friends jobs. Yeah, I'm looking at you George W.
...without Marlon Brando's eyes. (- the rantings of a homeless person)
Pretty much the only time you have to deal with customer service is to complain. There are people who love nothing but because it gives them something to do...simply.
A friend of mine called Nynex (remember them?) so much to complain (and for no reason) that they ended up sending him a $500 check and two six-foot boxes of phone books covering every state.
I wouldn't say cab/sat entirely. When you pay for cable you are paying for content delivery. You are paying for them to get you the shows from the networks that trade the ads for views. But, when you pay for HBO or Showtime for a premium you don't get any ads. Now if you paid for HBO and still received ads there would be a comparison.
Same with your ISP. You are paying in 'internet fee' why should you put up with ads on websites? Because the ISP simply is the transport.
In games however, you are already paying $50 - $60 dollars plus a possible monthly fee for MMORPG. To simply put it..to pay to be advertised is crazy and needs to get put down now before it gets anymore out of hand.
For me I feel that I pay $60 (or whatever Xbox live is) a year and I should not have to see ads for Old Spice, Burger King, Jessica Simpson or whatever. I have already paid for a service, I shouldn't have to keep paying for something that does not return a recurring value.

I have it, played it and still wouldn't consider it for GOTY. It was beautiful but I have seen it before with FarCry.
Rock Band was CmdrTaco's GOTY in the article.

Maybe that is how to stop the vehicles driving by blasting music way too loud. Threaten them with a RIAA lawsuit.
If their music radio was playing loud enough that I could hear it, should I still ask permission to listen?
