I also have good feelings about Windows 7. Vista had really good features but failed in lot of ways for me. I really feel that Microsoft recognizes Vista's faults, listened to the real critics of it and this will show as such in the new version.
To be fair the Beatles music was great....50 years ago when it first came out.
To think that anyone who wants to listen to them doesn't have their discography is kind of mind boggling. Unless they hope to get money from those that don't know how to rip CDs, you know what I mean, paying twice for the same product and all.
I hope to find out someday, cross platform multiplayer has been a wanting of mine:)
Another game I play cross platform is Rainbow Six Vegas. I use the k/m and my friend on the LAN plays with the Xbox controller (on his PC) and he seems to love it. He wins as many times as I do and he seems to prefer it more for this game.
Of course I have no data for it but I still say the ability is in the user not the device and that would go for wither platform.
In my area we have Time Warner Cable. The injected commercials are for Comcast's targeted advertising ads. They want to advertise specifics 'to the rights customers'. Then after that ad is usually an advertisement for Time Warner's Digital Cable service, which is what I have else I would not be watching the ad about the service...
It is all in the player's ability for how well they do across different platforms. I bought Call of duty 4 for box PC and Xbox and I kick ass equally for both.
I bought the Wii mostly for fun family games for me and my girls. I purchased Resident Evil 4 for Wii just for laughs but I was blown away. Not even using the gun molds for the controller either just the remote and nunckuk. Absolutely fun to play it this way, I was very surprised how fun it was.
While you are correct with 'Theft is theft' the true theme here is that the numbers the MPAA is stating is to be called in question.
They claim that falling profits is directly related to piracy. Here is where I have a problem with what/how they do what they do.
Sales declining in the last few years, do they take into account:
- Higher ticket prices - online rentals like NetFlix - On demand / Pay Per View - The Blu ray / HD DVD 'war' being fought waiting to see what to buy next - Getting burnt by crap at the theater - Cell phones, having to deal with more and more annoying people
I would like to see more numbers crunched before people are sued for piracy. Yes theft sucks for anyone including the artist, But theft from the artist starts before the movie is released.
This has been my beef with the whole *iaa deal is that they claim each song/movie is a missed sale. This can't possibly be true and I am sure the right college student looking for great credits will do research on this.
Each download DOES NOT equal a missed sale and the falling numbers for each industry not only coincide with P2P popularity, they also coincide with a declination in quality work. There has been a lot of crap shoveled out gained in popularity simply from marketing strategies, not quality.
I could go on here but we all know what is going on and it has been said many times before.
From the article: "Alternatively, by embedding personal data which is biological information in the image of a subject as an electronic watermark, falsification can be prevented more robustly."
Using wording 'embedded' and 'watermark' I imagine that these are generated within the image. Not entirely sure though.
Another interesting point is that the iris information can be programmed into the camera once and then anyone who uses the camera is watermarking the image with the original iris scan and not their own.
Exactly! And is it any coincidence that when people started using the internet instead of their cable tv companies to watch tv that TWC wants to charge more?
This is truly a reason to have more than one cable provider in any area so that they can't pull this crap. We know we are over paying for our bandwidth and we know we will be overpaying even more very soon unless something is done.
Without choice of provider, and I am not talking cable or dsl, I mean comcast, twc att, cablevision, we have to pay what they say.
The reason why I believe this never took off is because spammers for the most part forge email addresses. This has the potential to charge those who aren't actually sending the email, not the spammers.
I am waiting for my 20GB drive to fail so I have a reason to get the 120GB version. It might be a good time to upgrade for you. Not trying to be funny here.
I personally don't see the connection to 9/11 other than it being in New York but on this, there a couple of times during the panic and mayhem that someone in the background asks "Is it terrorists?" at least twice.
Ahem....
Here is the reason for the Ford boycott according to that site:
Sign the Boycott Ford Pledge
Yes, I'm supporting the boycott of Ford Motor Company automobiles until Ford stops supporting homosexual groups which are pushing homosexual marriage. I am not sure it is the same thing as copyright infringement.
From dictionary.com the definition of addicting
To occupy (oneself) with or involve (oneself) in something habitually or compulsively: The child was addicted to video games. Therefore it was exactly what I meant.
It was addicting because I couldn't stop playing it once I started. I figured it would be a game to play a puzzle here and there but when I started all I wanted to do was play more rather than in pieces. And if/when a new version comes out I will certainly be buying it.
~ Portal Spoiler ~
Once you finish the regular game you are able to play the advanced levels. You may not call this replay value but a value add.
Take this scenario....
You are a 15 year old boy who has a 15 year old girlfriend.
You have sex and take pictures of each other naked.
You break up soon after but keep the photos.
Flash forward...you are now 30 years old wacking off to those photos. Are you a pedophile?
That was hysterical. Thanks for the link.
Correct. The guitar hero 3 controller even has the Gibson logo on the 'Gibson Explorer' wired controller. This had to be licensed.
I also have good feelings about Windows 7. Vista had really good features but failed in lot of ways for me. I really feel that Microsoft recognizes Vista's faults, listened to the real critics of it and this will show as such in the new version.
This is not a sarcastic statement.
dl'd @ 400k in 30 secs from a torrent. Who said BitTorrent was for nothing but bad.
It is sad to say that your statement may not be far from being serious, if it was intended to be a joke.
...and I am pretty sure Ringo never actually existed. Now that's funny stuff.Do Michael Jackson and Yoko One really need more money?
This just kills me: Jackson purchased half of the catalog in 1985 for $47.5 million, and it is now valued at $1 billion

"We lead the world in computerized data collection"
To hear that email from the White House has been 'deleted', 'misplaced' or simply 'missing' is truly a slap in the face to the American people.
This stuff pisses me off completely...that and the 'dangling chad debacle'.

Elect the FCC, don't appoint them!

During the motion sensor demo with the Transformers movie it was Vista.
