It was bound to happen, the companies want to make more money and advertising is the easiest way for them to do this. But how they get the information will need to be put under scrutiny. The EULA's will be worded in a way that allows them to access the data on your pc, so it doesn't infringe on privacy, since you have to accept EULA to install and play.
I think one thing these companies aren't thinking of with this, is that the advertisements showing in game could potentially be for one of their competitors. Could be playing an EA game and see Ads plasters all over the place for Activision games. Wonder how they'll try to filter that out.
While any person can pull numbers out of their... and make up statistic for studies to justify whatever they think is right. I think the most accurate statistic would be that the 1% of ignorant people always ruin it for the 99% that have common sense.
Games are no worst than movies or whatever they show on television.
I'm surprised to see an article that actually says exactly what the problem is. "The need for greater control on the part of parents and society." Parents need to stop being so lax with disciplining their children. A lot of the "problem people" in society right and in the near future will most likely be a result of this. Parent just not doing their job in the upbringing of their children.

People that say that "can't compete" because they don't have ennough time to play, need to take their heads out of their own @#$ and see it for what it really is. Supporting something that causes inflation in the game for everybody isn't very smart...
One can only hope that these teachers get fired and have all their teaching credentials stipped from them... They commited an act of terrorism and should be charged accordingly.
Seeing comments talking about "poor judgment" just makes it sound like they're going to give them a slap on the wrist and let them go.
I can't help but laugh at this. No thought as to the use of said lights and why they might be flashing. Just a generic complaint about something that doesn't affect his life in the least bit. Here's to hoping he doesn't have kids, he probably has a complain about how much of a nuissance they are.
