I stopped reading the review when the first two things they complained about were
controls were in a different place than on Win7...Well so are the controls on Vista, XP, Win2K, NT, 98, 95, etc...
They had trouble installing a Twitter client (and Adobe AIR based one)... So rather than install a twitter client that can integrate with the desktop they run one based on AIR so it cannot integrate properly and needs a binary only install (that does not ship with Ubuntu)
this is not a review of Win7 vs Ubuntu 10... It's why Ubuntu 10 is not Win7....neither is OSX, or Solaris, or any other operating system?
J#/C# are based on C and C++ - which are free and open...but so are all language specs (the compilers are not always).NET is based on various technologies some of which are FOSS (most were not)
IE7 was Microsoft's attempt at catching up with the *standards*, and with features on *many* other browsers
Sharepoint is an integrated system most of the parts of which were originally FOSS ideas, but the point of Sharepoint is the integration not the parts...
Monopoly was "Invented" by Charles Darrow and sold to Parker Games and netted him and them a large amount of money....he copied it in it's entirety from a game derived from "The Landlords Game" by Lizzie Phillips
If I assume God exits, then I cannot prove/disprove he exits because it was my assumption
If I assume God does not exist then I also cannot prove/disprove he exits because it was my assumption
What I need is a system where I don't assume anything about God, then try and prove weather he exists or not....
So i don't assume the tea set exists or not and I think logically about it, and it seems unlikely because there is no reason for a tea set to exist there
I do the same with God, and decide that I cannot decide either way because there is not enough evidence either way, or for that matter a reasonable definition of God
An omnipotent God can simply sidestep any experiment I could do to prove or disprove his existence, the only God I could prove existed would be a less than omnipotent God (who would not be God) or one who wanted me to prove he existed (which since this debate is going on he does not seem to want)
Some don't believe in a Christian type God, but believe other things spiritual or supernatural Some reject all the supernatural Some definitely reject a God that interferes but might accept a creator Some are Agnostics, they don't think there is enough proof to decide either way some believe anyway some don't Some are Ignostics, they don't think "God" is well defined enough to even discuss if he exists
Soft/Hard/Atheism,Apatheism,Strong/Weak Agnositc, Agnostic Atheism/Agnostic Theism,Pragmatic agnosticism and many many more..
Just like Theists they have many differing views arrived at for many different reasons, ranging from blind faith via all degrees of grey to reasoned logic alone...
One of the experiments that missed going to Mars was the "Wolf trap" (designed by Wolf Visniac)
It has detected life on Earth, and on samples from the Antarctic Dry valleys that had been hand tested for life and shown not to contain any... (which when retested by hand were found to contain life after all)
UK version of Google : "Bing" shows me the UK version of Bing first then bing.com
UK Version of Bing : "Google" shows me google.com then google.co.uk....
This seems to be a trend with all my bing searches, the strictly correct but irrelevant answer first, then somewhere down the page what I actually asked for, whereas google tends to give the the relevant answer first more often than not....
This is probably just the way I look for things... your experience may vary....
This means they have published, and it's got quoted, and it will be referenced in other articles, this means they get paid and can continue their research..If it is found to be true or not is not important.... But if it is then they can publish that as well....
This is a mainframe, it is designed to run many virtual machines, natively
Memory in this context is cheap, fast and readily available - all the things it is not on most RISC systems
If the chips are designed properly (which with IBM they will be) then for the tasks they are designed for they can be faster...for other tasks they may well be slower
A large proportion of the worlds population live in earthquake or volcano zones......Because that is where all the richest soils, and mineral deposits are...
Most large cities are on the coast or on large rivers and so are prone to flooding, because they grew due to being a port
Very few cities are founded where it is safe, instead they are founded where resources are, which also turn out to be dangerous....
People continue to live there because that's where the work is...
Have you seen the article.... a screen and a half down under the section header "PLOT" under a subsection "Identity of the murderer" after a discussion about it being kept secret it then finally tells you.......Or if you know how to stop reading it doesn't...
Go any buy the book, or borrow it from a library...it's been in print for 56 years now
The play supposedly hinges on the twist ending which reveals the murderer and it probably is a surprise to most people who do not know the ending, but how many people who want to go and see it would read the complete Wikipedia entry first and then would be surprised that the most important plot point was revealed?
Btw Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker, Dr. Malcolm Crowe is a ghost, Kane's Rosebud was his sled, Godot never shows up

Malware mostly are trying to build botnets, to get personal information, and to send spam .... ....the new evil is the marketing droids ....
