Mine was a nightmare. In the first week I owned it it dropped more calls than my blackberry did in nearly 2 years. Something else was wrong, slider kept freezing and I couldn't answer phone calls. I brought it to Apple store and they replaced my new iPhone4 with a refurbished one (yey!), most OS problems disappear but occasionally there's a freeze. Not the almighty OS Apple fanboys like to believe. Last week (after 3 weeks of ownership) I just had enough of the nth dropped calls (nice when it happens after you've been on hold for 15 minutes with an airline) and stormed into my AT&T store. The manager was quite nice and gave me a free case right away (Apple notified me that the free case to rectify the antenna problem would be shipped Sept. 7th, that's over a month after purchasing my phone, meanwhile according to them I'm supposed to sit a month with a malfunctioning phone). Anyway, with the case from AT&T in my hands for 5 days now I haven't dropped a single call.
If you want to go back to thousands and thousands of years than you must drop the term "country" as we intend it today. If you look at the past 50 years, the current generations, you'll see that the US has a super strong history of sticking its nose in everyone else's business because they think everything is their business and often lie to achieve the political and social support. The U.S. has lied about Vietnam, it has lied about Iraq and lied about Afghanistan. And often lies to allies as well.
US is also the only country in the world that is constantly in war with other countries, bullies them and has a history of supporting enemies of its enemies
You realize that every country in the history of humanity has done the exact same things, right?
Nowhere near to the extent that the US has done it
Interestingly enough the A500 was what made the Amiga famous but at the same time what killed it in the eye of the professional public because it was perceived as a toy. I remember an argument I had with my dad who knew nothing about computer and still doesn't know how to turn one on, whereas my mom is all internet savvy (I bet she's spying me on/. ); he claimed that PC were serious computer and Amiga just a toy. One of the many times when he had no clue of what he was talking about.
Ah... I remember that morning at a show in London when the new mysterious graphic chip for the next generation Amiga was announced, the successor of the AAA, made by a Taiwanese company but unfortunately it never saw the light. Speculations went on and on for months. That morning I came up with the acronym MMC: Mystery Monster Chip... since no one knew what that was or what it did, just that it was fabulous and it was going to retake the home computer market completely. Soon after the entire community used that name, it stuck. After all the years consulting communications for Amiga Inc. I still have a hole in my heart.
Glad that it's faster but I'd sacrifice speed in sake of Flash stability. Current version crashes way too often. Been using Chrome exclusively on my netbook not only it's a lot faster than FF, it never crashes on Flash. If something goes wrong it just kills the plugin. And things go wrong a lot less than on FF. 4.0 better the the solution otherwise when Chrome gets RSS I'll witch to it on all my computers.
And this is one of the reasons why I dropped Verizon after 5 years of service. They customer service sucks! I had to bring a matter to the attention of the FCC before I could get satisfaction.
For some span of time, society will operate in a significantly less rational way.
Yeah, for about a week and then it would be business as usual. People have such a short memory or they wouldn't vote the same politicians over and over. Top it with the fact that slashdotters already operate in a significantly less rational way and the world hasn't fallen (neither has Slashdot)
Seriously... "about to" in astronomical terms could be a million years from now. By that reasoning I could say that a lot of stars in the universe are about to go Supernova. Same as saying "Yellowstone is about to erupt."
Move on, slashdotters, once again there's nothing to see...
It will get to that, for example: According to European law, people have the right to remove the batteries off a device and buy 3rd party... something Apple is not kin to do as they make way too much money in battery and replacement service.
Because the "dream" of the airspaceplane (the one that was supposed to enter service in the 2nd decade of 2000 and achieve NY-Tokyo in about 3 hours) never really died. Plus that plane doesn't need to be supersonic over the land.
I have been using Firefox since version 0.5 and with the last two releases I have been increasingly discontent with it. First the huge memory footprint, going up to 1.5GB with a few tabs open, then the crashes every time someone in the room sneezes the wrong way. Flash might be a piece of junk but Firefox crashes every time Flash crashes, with Chrome I don't have to worry about that, it will warn me that Flash has crashes and just kill that tab without killing the entire browser and often lose data. Chrome, IMO, is not ready for Prime Time (any news on RSS?) and I don't particularly like the interface, but it has potential. On my netbook Chrome is the only browser I use because of its speed, Firefox's speed is considerably slower.

Once I'm dead I will have no further use of this meatbag and anyone who wants a piece of it can have it.
Can I have a piece of it now?
Did anyone explain to him that without his heart he will die? He must be a Disney World tourist.

Happy Birthday to me and my Amiga, we're both still very much alive thank you very much
After two days of using it it seems quite stable and I do like the new interface. I might just stick to 4 beta rather than 3.6 finished.
GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY! We just assisted to the rebirth of the Proton.

If we take into account annihilation I'd be surprised of opposite results.
Sell it to Amiga user.
Thanks! :)

Betelgeuse is, according to Wikipedia, 640 LY from Earth. Therefore it will take light 640 years to travel to Earth from Betelgeuse.
Not if you travel at Warp 9

If it's as good and cheap as my Asus netbook EeePC 1005 PEB (which is awesome) I'll definitely get one.

No care what OS they'll use, I WON'T BUY HP. You can only get screwed so many times...
The next generation in civilian transportation. There are no plans to recover the flight test vehicle
NY to Paris in 30 minutes! However, only one way tickets are allowed.
hehe :)
If they dropped it near the coast it would make a great wreck for scuba divers. I'd be all over it.

Sounds to me like Steve Jobs needs a life, perhaps an iLife :)
To the asshole who modded me as troll: disagreement does not equal trolling.
