you seem to think that we, the British people, have any sort of say in this sort of thing. It's our "left-wing" party doing this; the only (main) alternative is the conservatives, and I don't want to go into THAT kettle of fish.
But really, that more people aren't actively (and literally) aren't up in arms over it is somewhat depressing -.-
You misunderstood my reasons for wanting to leave. It is the growing sympathy for nationalists (and, in extremes, fascists such as the BNP) that I'm quite so afraid of. That is why I wish to leave, and no other reason. If it were just the economy, I would stay. If society collapsed in on itself, I would stay, carfully forging my new empire out of the dregs of collapsed civilisation [/evil]
The reason I'm leaving, I repeat, is because these guys scare the hell out of me.
You argue that Britain is beyond it's point of no return, as far as exports and such go. I'm in no position to dispute this, but it is still moot in regards to immigration being a cause of trouble in britain, any more than being born here.
I do not support britain, I do not even LIKE britain (as you assert I must do, because I state one problem is imagined? we call that a false dichotomy). And don't place the burden of "my" politicians on me, I didn't vote for any of them.
Anyway, I'm fully aware doublethink doubleplusbad.
His comment was perfectly sound; even taking just England, it still would only make 26th, at 388.7/km. Whatever the daily mail tells you, the country is not populated beyond manageable standards. The problem is with the management.
To ease your imagined problem, I'll be leaving as soon as possible, I think, so you idiots can enjoy your BNP government.
wrong. the PROBLEM with chernobyl wasn't the fact it was nuclear, it was abysmal safety regulations and poorly trained staff.
A better comparison would be saying "The Car was not at fault" when someone drives it off a bridge
You're telling me people who believe what might overall be called a bad thing, do a good thing occasionally? And I was so fond of the world in monochrome...
You've got the right idea, but you miss the main point. If I might paraphrase Richard Dawkins: "I Believe in God to the same extent that I believe in the tooth fairy" That is, while no assertion can be made that there it is absolutely certain that the supernatural being doesn't exist, there is absolutely no reason to believe it does. Contrary to your statement that "Refusing to believe in God is just another faith", the lack of believing in God, and therefore what should be the default position of there being no God, is entirely intellectually honest, and requires no faith at all; just the willingness to accept there's an outside chance you may be wrong:P
Yes, propaganda can be very effective; it's got you thinking cuba is teh evils, after all.
To be frank, compared with the US, cuba's crimes seem rather minor. In fact, if it weren't for a few political prisonors, and the blockade put there by a certain country, it'd be quite a place indeed.
Sure, a country full of idiots, that's a brilliant idea. Go ahead and leave, meanwhile, I (one of these "UK Youth of today" you mention) will be trying to actually change things here.
Yes, you're right, having a child does have an impact on the environment, but rather than infringe on individual rights and stop people having children, how about we just concentrate on reducing that impact?
That said, while America, and in particular the American financial elite, hogs the world's resources and ignores all conventions on waste, the job is going to be very difficult. These children are only unsustainable in the current system; not unsustainable, full stop.
You seem to have missed the difference between "This is how it is" and "This is how it should be". We only have one life, and it should not be some sort of lottery that determines whether we spend it miserable. THAT is entirely artificial, and THAT we can change.
Dear god, we're giving workers what they deserve, and find that employers aren't quite so well off and profit margins are lower!
Forgive me if I save my tears.
What makes copyright law less set in stone than the ethics of euthanasia?
Morality (from Latin moralitas "manner, character, proper behaviour") refers to the concept of human ethics, which pertains to matters of right and wrong...used within three contexts: individual conscience; systems of principles and judgments (taken from wikipedia)
Copyright law would fall neatly into all three of these. It certainly would seem to me that this very much makes copyright law a moral matter. In fact, it would make ANY law a moral matter.
No, I can't say I've EVER watched cable TV. Over here we have digital, and the only way call-in shows on there are similar is when compared to forums. Now, I KNOW a lot more can be done on the internet than just that..
Maybe because we don't use dollars in the UK, and if we did I'd pay top-dollar for a judge this honest any day....
Sorta get the image of the judge from "Phoenix Wright" when I imagine it ^^

dude, I'm an anarchist. Just to put a bit of perspective on things.
You're telling me people who believe what might overall be called a bad thing, do a good thing occasionally?

It's from the daily mail, so it's certainly not safe for your mental wellbeing, if nothing else

Worst. Title. Ever.
We're both talking about the country that shares its western border with Afghanistan and Iran, right? -.-
If you think that what goes on in the middle east does not affect your politics, you need a wake up call.

Come now, when has America let a little thing like a border stop it?
Thos are things that only happen to other people.
Or, with the formating:
His critics insist that Obama
Is Muslim, like evil Osama.
Well, they don't know their biz;
For if that fellow is,
Then so is the damn Dalai Lama.

Interactivity, for starters.
