A lot of people are surprised about the lack of "uber" hardware. My guess is that a lot of these people are playing the old CS - not exactly a demanding game Even then, I have a FX5700 with a P4 and can run CS:S with no problems. Granted, its at 30FPS but that doesn't mean you running from B in dust can't get a hole put in your head from CT spawn. Seriously, even with CS1.6 I only get 60FPS and still hear people complaining that they don't have higher than that! Higher than that? You must like wasting your money, most monitors don't even show more than what 80-90fps, and even then the human eye can only see what....60-70? I can see if your getting 13fps, then yeah you have an issue. Getting a beefed up system, IMHO is only for just that....so your system doesn't chug along with your favorite game. The "eye" candy only gets as good as your eye's allow. It's just the big car syndrome in the form of computers. You've gotta be trying to compensate for something!

Wow, not that this is a first that I've seen on /. but seriously, why does everyone have to pick apart what was written.

    1. It was written for those that are just starting out with programming----that's obvious. But all of you would rather point out how obvious the "tips" are, while missing this VERY obvious point.

    2. Who cares if the code actually works or not? Are you going to copy his game? Are you going to use his work on your resume? NO....and if you do......lol. It's written to show a point, just like any beginner tips.

    3. The point in generalizing with things like teaching tips to people new to programming, isn't the code. Its how its written. And while I cringe at the idea of languages that don't follow set way to....say indent, you can't say his exammple's wouldn't prove useful to someone that's never programmed before. Personally I wouldn't have used a game to show it, but anything that can catch the attention of anyone new to the religion is good, so I can see why he did.

Some of you are acting like when you first sat down and typed in "Hello World!" you ALREADY knew where and when to comment, damn I bet most of you C programmers that taught yourself how to program started out saying shit like (of course out loutd) cowt gets "Hello World" instead of saying c out gets "Hello world!". For most of you I bet it was some time before you even had your first "away from desk" coding experience, you know what I'm talking about....that last block you couldn't get right while you were at your desk, now your in Burger King writting down ideas on a napkin during your lunch break.

Now, 2 years after you start writing code that's worth a shit you wanna pick apart the work of anyone that tries to help the guy you used to be.

Copyright is no question in this case because....there is no copyright. In such cases possession is 9/10 of the law, and how you came to possess is 1/10. NJTA is going to win if they fight for the wrongful use of thier surviellence tapes, and the theft of said tape. If they try to go for anything else they will lose. Now if the family decides to get involved, they can definelty win the case that's before NJTA. But they'd only win if they fought for the same reasons that would have NJTA losing this case.

This "tape" belongs to NJTA regardless of what you think, purely by possession alone. So can they sue for the use of it? Hell yeah. Can they win? Hell yeah. Is it right? Probably not, but consider: You snuck that sex video of your neighbor, replaced the original and then spread your copy over the internet. Can your neighbor sue you? Hell yeah...and they'd win with no trouble at all. NJTA is just covering it's ass in case the family sue's. If you don't like it...petition. But eventually your going to have to cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it. The ONLY way NJTA is going to lose this is if they fight for the wrong reason.
