    Has he taken any more powers "reserved for the states" than his predecessors? If yes, I want specifics, including how the courts have ruled on the matter(s).

    Do previous Presidents and congresses being absolute fucking bastards ruling over a bunch of sheep who allowed it make the federal government taking powers reserved to the States and the People?

    Because I am not blaming Obama for it but let us get real honest.

    Congress has usurped a shitload of power not given to it. With the Supreme Court playing dead and a people who will not stand up for themselves we have been raped.
    And we will continue to get raped by them till we are done with it.

    Just because Bush started Homeland Security does not make it a good thing.
    The worst things Bush did during his presidency were The Patriot Act and the creation of DHS and its underling the TSA.
    Good or bad national health care is unconstitutional.
    As are many things that we as a people have allowed to continue.

    I was pretty sure the book was 3D.
    Last I remember reading it.
    Although the effects in the book were better and the acting was awesome. the 3d was perfect and caused no sickness or weird feelings at all.

    No but from what I remember the guy they sued over this sorted his seeds to ensure using only the genetically modified ones.
    Monsanto is a horrible company. But the suit they keep spewing all over the internet, once you look into what the guy was doing, is a good suit.
    They farmer is a douche bag. What he was doing was with intent. So fuck him too.

    Never said that. Never thought something so inane.
    What I think though is that when the climate starts changing and you want to blame it on the Air I breathe out and regulate that gas....
    That your models better be pretty damn tight and effective and leave no room for doubt.
    Because I do not know what universe you live in but in mine once the US government (or really any government) gets its hands on another thing to regulate they do not exercise that power in moderation. It always grows.
    And a government like that regulating the gas that comes from my lungs strikes me as a bad long term power to give them.
    But me wanting to just ignore all evidence and theories that have anything to do with climate other than earth and sun is much easier for you to attack I am sure.

    We already know that the earths climate has swung quite naturally much hotter and much cooler than it is now.
    If humans were making no impact on climate at all (Which would be very unlikely) sea levels will rise and fall and so will temperatures.
    What we need to do is get off this fucking planet and figure out how to control climate. Mitigating our impact on it will not save us.
    We need to be able to control climate. Not stand by and let it take its natural course.
    Control and escape. If these are not your priorities then you might as well just burn the whole fucking place down.

    Climate change is happening.
    I agree. Climate change has always happened.
    Before humans existed. Massive changes. What effect we have on this dynamic and misunderstood climate is what is debatable.
    Any real scientist would put "Earth has always gone through massive climate changes due to its nature and that of the sun" as the hypothesis to take down.
    Doing it with something that has more inconsistencies than what we know may actually be right but it is not good science.

    Yes, Copyright is too long. 14 years is fine, even 20.

    This is a design patent for a specific things. It's for laptops, with a wedge, that are brushed nickle, have their feet is a specific space, etc. They did not get a utlity patent on the wedge. It prevents confusion. Seeing how many companies are trying to copy the specific design, it prevent market confusion.

    The crack pot patents are stopping many people.
    People with ideas and abilities that do not have the time or the money battle out what a bullshit patent something is in court.
    No fucking copyright should be relevant for 100 years.
    If you think that someone grandchild of a person who wrote a book 80 years ago should have the ability to get pad or else squash a movie you have a serious case of entitlement.
    Life of the author should be the maximum length of a copyrightable work. Maximum. Otherwise maybe 10 years.
    You need to remember that copyright and patent are not real rights. They are government granted rights. These rights were granted to encourage arts and sciences.
    When you extend them far enough to discourage you are wrong.

    Patents on the wedge shape are bullshit. Copyrighting of range check code is bullshit.
    90%+ of patents now are bullshit. The ones that are not live on in perpetuity. The solution is not to get rid of patent or copyright.
    The solution lies in bringing back the limits.
    And killing the lawyers of course.

    I do not know about the all caps thing.
    But I never had more fun with Microsoft than when I used DOS 6.22 w/ 4DOS.
    The OS was FAST. Only other programs could slow it down. When I wanted graphical I could type a command and get graphical.
    When I had an issue I knew that my problem lied in either the config.sys or the autoexec.bat files.
    I even had color directories.

    You prosecute the agents or you penalize the country. You don't go after FedEx or UPS or DHL because the agents used them as a shipper.
    Should FedEx have asked if the hard drives were stolen evidence? Do you think that should be one of the check boxes on the shipping form?
