And don't get me started about AMT (alternative minimum tax)
This may cause a run on the older XBoxes. I wouldn't be surprised if an enterprising fellow were to buy up older Xboxes and sell them on e-bay for higher than what the new Xboxes will cost.
Or they could just set up an exchange center: Trade in your old Xbox for a new one!
Many of us have our cameras but we still buy the ocassional disposable camera.
In the same way, when I forget my phone, the battery runs down or when roaming in area is prohibitively expensive (international?), then a disposable phone is perfect!
IANAL, but isn't child porn illegal? If it is (if it isn't it should be) and they can identify the URL, hence the company, why not just prosecute them?
The problem has always been that whoever owns the "last mile" is king.
What if the US Federal Govt. were to take over the last mile, i.e. POTS and cable? All ISP's, Broadband providers, content providers, etc. will not have access to those lines. (and pay the govt. mandated rates)
The consumer will become king and will have an array of choices. All potential providers are now on the same footing, having to compete on price, service and content.

Before buying a Sony laptop. Take a look at their support site -- quite thin.
Sony can make their electronics look good but they don't know how to do customer support at all.
