> The reality is, and is scientifically proven, that no species ever evolved from another species
You say that and expect us to take you seriously? No such thing has ever been proven. In a sense, however, you are right -- although not in the way you intended. In evolution, a species does not just *poof*, appear... a species slowly changes as a whole, OVER A MILLION YEARS or so. There is no point at which you can say "okay, this is an ape, this is a human." Evolution is a process, not a step.
> even Darwin admitted that the theory of natural selection producing new species was nonsense
Even if true, Natural Selection & Evolution are two very different things. That statement simply says that natural selection may not be the REASON for evolution, not that evolution doesn't happen. If evolution didn't occur, there would not be mutating bacteria & viruses.
I would tell you to get your head out of your ass, but with nonsense opinions like yours, I'm sure many people have already told you that, with no positive result.
> it seems only natural to me that regulations would be presented that restrict activities through such a versatile medium.
Yes, because being able to use a piece of equipment to its fullest potential is immoral & anti-American. Seriously, that is a stupid comment. Computers are a brand new thing, they don't need regulation, they need adapted-to. The world needs to accept that these things exist & start using them to their fullest potential, not blame them for preexisting problems.
If you commit crimes with the aid of a computer, guess what -- the act was probably illegal before the computer came around, it just makes it easier.
Adapt or die... or at least quit whining when the rest of us adapt and you refuse to. It's your right to not want to use technology in certain ways, but you have to accept that it is my right to use my computer however I want, as long as that use doesn't infringe on anyone else's rights.
This isn't really in direct reply to your post, but this was the closest place it applied...
I don't like U2, as people or musicians. Regardless, I don't think they (or most any other musician) "piss on their fans." I have made some (pretty hokey) music, but a lot of it is all completely different. That's because different moods & circumstances create different songs. To say that a band is doing something to their fans when they change styles is like saying that in the fall, the leaves are turning brown just to spite you. People change, even those who have "sold out" (j/k). Sure, the fans are a necessary part of being a successful band, but I don't think musicians should gear their music towards the fans -- and I think most of them really don't. They should make what they want, and if the fans like it, great. If not, f$%# 'em. A good artist writes what he thinks is good -- if they have talent & a good ear for music, other people will think it's good too.
> Why don't you blame the thieves rather than the band?
Because the thing he is blaming them for is releasing an unfinished product to everyone. The thieves didn't cause that, U2 is throwing a hissyfit because ONE person stole from them, and if ONE fan did that, then ALL fans must be assholes who can't wait for it. So fine, if you want it so bad, we'll release it while it sucks (kinda hard for U2 to release something that doesn't suck these days), so there, nyah nyah nyah.
Those whiny babies should stop crying that someone stole their stuff. Tell the police (not the band, mind you, that would do little good) and move on with your life. Don't make a fucking scene about it & throw a publicity fit.
> 98% of anything I download off Kazaa has been decrypted with an annoying buzz noise.
Maybe we are looking for different types of music, but I haven't downloaded a fake or buzzed song off of KaZaA for at least a month. Of course, I don't usually download radio music.
> presenting a directory of software available for installation on the user station and not already installed on the user station;
What constitutes software "not already installed on the user station?" If I am downloading the latest patch for IE, it is (usually) replacing files in a software package that is already installed. Most Windows updates you can download DO correspond to software already installed, so how can they claim it's a list of stuff NOT installed? If it wasn't already installed, I wouldn't have the option (AFAIK) to get the patch for it.
> I still prefer the sword method.. more interesting for the public.
Except for the cases when both swordsmen's arms were damaged too bad to swing a sword, but both were still alive. That makes for a terrible fight. It's like watching CmdrTaco & GWB in a battle of wits.

Just because you don't realize the truth, it does not make the other side a troll. It may not be quite 50K, but the idea is correct. I seem te recall it's 10K minimum, but I could be wrong.

Gotta love the Internet. You can find a link to anything completely unrelated and it's still hilariously pertinent.

I am usually the first to jump on religion as the scourge of mankind and a crutch for those scared of not knowing anything, but I disagree with this statement on some level. The cause of war is people, usually their greed, sometimes fear, but it is not the religion that takes the action. It is the people themselves who make the conscious decision to do evil in the name of religion. Most religions, minus the people, are neither good nor bad.
> Whatever survives the impact which sends it into space, the trip through space, and the impact on mars, then has the difficult job of surviving
If it was able to live through two impacts, zero pressure, & no heat, I doubt the conditions on Mars are going to trouble it too much, unless there is some specific chemical there that the bacteria simply cannot be around & live.
> There are species that not only survise 100 degrees C, they must have temperatures over that to survive
This is not meant to take away from your meaning, because I agree that it's possible, but the probability is minute.
Yes, there are bacteria that need those conditions, some that just can handle it. The thing, however, is are there bacteria that can handle BOTH extremes. If you need a bacteria that can handle reentry heat & pressures, they must also be able to handle extreme cold & (virtually) no pressure in space. I would think that jumping from 100 psi to 0 psi, volcanic heat to cold space, would be a hell of a change. To survive in high pressure, I would think the bacteria would need to build up its own pressure inside itself to keep from crushing. Going to space within a day would, IMO cause it to explode (ignoring bacteria living in the core of a very large rock).
> Given that Mars has the largest volcano in the solar system
Please excuse my ignorance, but is it an active volcano? I thought there weren't any found, but of course, that probably came from other ignorant Slashers.
> I don't buy the life explanation either, though. Whenever there is chemistry going on in a planet that we don't yet understand, there's this natural tendancy to yell "it must be life!".
You say that as though it's happened thousands of times before. How many different planetary chemistries have we witnessed that we don't understand?
Just because YOU don't like the show, it doesn't mean it's not any good. The only people who outright bash Enterprise are the ones who are so stuck on the other series' details they can't suspend disbelief for a moment. THEY'RE IN FUCKING SPACE, THAT'S DISBELIEVABLE ENOUGH. If TNG hadn't taken off, a lot more people would be making fun of Star Trek instead of claiming it was so great -- it wasn't.
