    And your phone has never done any of those either. If you wanted to sleep, turn it off. You chose to hurry up the stairs or wipe. You could have ignored it just as easily. If you have caller ID, you'll find out who called a bit later. Even better, there's this grand new invention called an answering machine, which will record a message from the caller so you don't have to wait beside the telephone your whole life.

    Don't get me wrong, telemarketers are fucking scum and I want them all to die horribly and slowly: I know some of them. But this argument doesn't hold much water.

    It's just you. Guess what. A lot of real life would be R-rated if it were a movie. Just calling something smut does not make it so, although that horrble sex scene/music video from Reloaded was definitely in poor taste. But that had nothing to do with the fact that they were *GASP* having sex (most people do that in real life, you know; obviously you hadn't received the memo). It was just badly done and unnecessary.

    Well, I agree there are some places like that, it's not everywhere. Usually if you work for a smaller company, it's not as much of a problem. Unfortunately, I recently realized the greed of the tech community, so I know that most will just give in rather than work somewhere good...

    Yes, it was highly irresponsible, but WHO FUCKING CARES if it was 4 minutes late? If they were to treat others differently W/R/T lateness, that's one thing, but most courts aren't gonna be dicks about it.
