answersingenesis is THE MAIN creationist website. totally skewed in my opinion and is based on a LOT of interpretation. as a christian, i find that site highly entertaining and laughable.
it doesnt matter how old something is. it matters if its right or wrong. age does not impact fact or fiction, unless evidence comes out later to disprove it. the bible can be doubted, or not believed in, but no disproven. nor can some of it be proven, and that's why christians have faith. call me a sheep all you want. i like being a sheep. if god DOES exist, of course we're just sheep to him, probably less.
i would have like to see it broken up for part time freelancers and full timers like me. i think the part timers bring down the salary ranges significantly. i didn't see anything addressing the differences in salary between part time and full time. ranges in san francisco where i work are a bit higher than what i'm seeing there.
this same kind of thing happened when i bought my 2006 scion tc. they wanted to sell me the crappy scion stock security system. i said i would be installing a viper system, and they said it would void my warranty. i ignored them and looked up the magnusen warranty act and went happily on my way. car's out of warranty now since it has 46k miles on it, but just nice to know i had a legal leg to stand on.
It depends on how you view web 2.0. As a web designer, I see web 2.0 as a migration from table-based layout to css-based layout, as well as implementation of ajax. The pretty graphics are just an unfortunate side effect that people who don't know the underlying workings of "web 2.0" and thus the term gets a bad rap. I myself think it's silly. There are no versions. It's just a natural progression of web technology.
no. i'm 25 and i come here during work to find out about new technology trends and what not. i always check the comments of articles i'm interested and all i ever see is "i got dibs on web 4.0!" or "i for one welcome our...."
it's just not funny. i come here hoping for intelligent conversation and what i see is far from that. i think i'll just read the articles from now and ignore all the moronic comments which makes up about 90% of the conversation here anyways.
arent there ever any constructive conversations on/. or is it just a bunch of nerdy teenagers who think they're clever? i read this stuff every day and it's like DAMN, grow up children.
back to being more open to viruses. back to less functionality. back to a lack of standards compliance. one little thing and you wanna go back to the MS teet. i'll enjoy my firefox usage and let my mind wonder why ANYONE would choose IE when their are far better browsers out there.
it's not dishonest. it's misleading, but not dishonest. it's like saying "4 out of 5 dentists recommend...". it could be 5 insane quack dentists. you don't t think that when you read/hear it, but it's still accurate.
i bought this book a couple weeks ago. it is very good. shows you specific ways of doing things, special tips, and is basically just a very nice book that can be applied to real world specifics and give you new ideas for your own designs. we're definitely not going back to tables. i for one love css as it makes for cleaner code and is much more accessible for mobile users.
i am thinking the wheels are all independant of each other, no axles between the 2 front and 2 back. they might all be on individual mounts that can turn 360 degrees. and then we'll just have normal wheels on those.
well there's no way to prove either way. and science would support my theory a lot better. so you have your opinion and i have mine. i don't understand why science and christianity have to conflict. they don't in my eyes. science just further supports the bible in my opinion, especially archeology, which has done nothing but prove historial accounts from the bible over and over.
i agree. i don't interpret the days in genesis as literal 24 hour periods. it would take adam a lot longer to name all the animals than 24 hours. plus a day in god's time is often referred to as longer periods of time throughout other places in the bible. plus God lives outside of time, so it could really be any amount of time. i think the word day is used just to make it easy enough for our feeble human minds (in comparison to God) to understand, especially thousands of years ago before the internet, common literacy, and modern science.
According to the Bible, because of a LACK of genetic problems like there are today, people lived a very long time, around 900-1000 years and then as sin started to gradually affect us, lifespans became shorter, and incest was outlawed by God around the time of Moses. Before we sinned we were perfect beings (physically) and incest would not have the bad implications it would today, except for the fact of it being kind of weird. But when it's only a small pool of people, you kinda have no other choice. We weren't living in those times. It was probably considered totally normal to hook up with your cousin or something. Hell, even in our day and age people are doing it. You can't judge a behavior of a totally different culture because you are not judging on the same baseline and it has no relevance.
And in regards to Cain if he WAS living that long and sent away, if one of his family members who had never met him came upon him, they wouldn't know him.
the title should be 12 school DISTRICTS. that's a lot more than just 12 schools.

The BlueGene/L at Lawrence Livermore National Lab is still the fastest. Used to work there as a web designer. Scary.

MTV's Gideon Yago did a report on this a long time ago showing the working conditions and discussing wages. this is old news.
