Just go into your network settings (Control Panel, Network Settings), select your network adapter(s), and make sure that File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks is unchecked. That's about all it takes...
I'm surprised that ****** isn't in the list. That's my password for just about everything. As a matter of fact, I've noticed that it's just about everyone's password!!!
I beleive that Mozilla is working on or has integrated gestures into it's system. I've also used a program called Stroke It (funny name, good program!) that automatically includes gestures in all Windows programs and works pretty well.
I use a Boss BR-532 digital 4 track. It uses SmartMedia to record to and has all kinds of built in effects, lots of different inputs, etc. It does everything an old cassette 4 track would do and more -- plus, you can always pull the tracks off the SmartMedia, convert them to WAV, and then do whatever you want with them in software. Also nice that you can keep up to 32 virtual tracks, meaning that you can do several re-takes on one track and compare them in the mix, without deleting any of the old tracks. There's more information about it on Harmony Central.
I was way into D&D and did have friends. I just didn't have friends who played D&D. So, I was forced to play Nintento instead. Not a bad comprimise, I suppose... : )
Yeah, Nintendo's standard gamepads were so uncomfortable. Maybe it was all of those sharp corners. No wonder everyone came down with "Nintendonitis"...
no...I was saying it was Activision, not Atari, that released the games. I know it was available for PSX, it may have been available for the jag as well...
You just have to lie on your back and (precariously?) balance the think on your head while looking up. All of the other gameplay pieces (except the nausea) fall right into place. : p
I wonder if Nintendo can keep backward compatability by using the same format but with (physically) larger discs? It seems to me that their format is fairly close to DVD, only on those tiny little discs.
Not everyone wants to get rid of all those cd's. I have a binder full of roughly 300 cd's and yet I still buy at least 6 - 10 cd's a month and several of those I want to keep and maintain the CD cases for some point into the future. Yes -- sometimes it's just the music. But sometimes, it's still that Box set I bought with the liner notes from the artist and the many pages of artwork that go along with it. For example -- have you ever seen the booklet version of Radiohead's Kid A? At least 15 pages of really cool artwork that can't be put into a binder...
I really don't think that videos (at 1-2 million per, at best!) cost all that much compared to the promotion, distribuion, etc. to factor in that much...
Where I live (and I admit that I'm lucky to live in Brooklyn, NY) many, many good bands play for 10 - 20 dollars per show. I almost always buy some kind of product (t-shirt, cd, poster) at a show that I enjoy, just for the memories. I think that these bands do OK at shows around here -- enough to sell their CD's for $10 or so and still make a profit...
I have to disagree. Maybe I'm a little different than the normal music purchaser (and I've always considered myself so...) but I haven't found myself fitting your statement. For as long as I've had an opinion (since I was about 14 or so -- about 15 years), I've found myself dissatisfied with what the music industry has been putting out there. But for as long as I can remeber, I've been putting pleny of money into the independend labels, because they've been giving me the music I want. My purchasing habits have changed, but if anything, I find myself buying more now than I ever did (if only because I have more money now...). Maybe it really is the major labels that need to think about their product and actually create something worthwhile?
Your analogy to Emusic is only partially true. If they start losing lots of subscribers @ $15 a month (like me), maybe they'll start thinking that quality matters and provide a better service. Personally, I think they're 128kb downloads are crap and I won't re-subscribe until they offer higher bitrates.
Oh yeah! Two tuners! Not only can I record while watching another channel...I can record two channels while watching recorded content. I almost never come across the problem of recording one thing while watching another...
And you're right. I bought mine 8 months ago and added a second hard drive (90 + hours...). Although I think this site still sells series 1 Tivos...
Please tell me how you got your Tivo to recommend something interesting! Mine only seems to record garbage when I turn on "Tivo Suggests". No matter how many Thumbs Down I give, it always seems to record the Spanish Channel...

VCDHelp has a really good set of resources and forums for these types of questions.

They used lasers for the display? No wonder I wear glasses now. heh... : )
Are you sure that wasn't Activision? I think you can still buy it on those "Activision Classic" discs, available for Playstation, et al...
Not to mention Bleem. Where did that go, anyway? Couldn't Microsoft have just bought Bleem, perfected it, and released it for the XBox?

Oh no! Did he say nu-ku-lar!?
One small catch --

Is Emusic making any money? They seem to be doing exactly that.

I use sneakmail. Works pretty good for me.
So your analogy is that the Internet is like one giant titty bar? That's crazy!!! : )

Got an MP3 of that? : )
