There's bargains to be had though. I'm about to sound like a homeless hippie, but get to know some of the staff and they'll give you a heads up on electronics they get. I randomly saw a little Jetdirect EX for $5 and picked it up for a friend (turns out it was never used). It was only $5, so I donated $10 at checkout. The lady wanted my info to let me know about their incoming electronics because it's such a niche market. Better time spent calling a few people who may want it rather than having it sit for a few months before being thrown away because nobody knew what it was nor wanted it.
Not only should you have backups of DNS servers, you should have redundant ones from multiple providers. For example, slave ns1 at provider a, slave ns2 at provider b, master hidden somewhere else...
Purchase text books? I think you're not American, but that'd force a lot of people here to drop out of primary and secondary school. Compulsory education or not, the majority of Americans simply couldn't financially support that idea.
Funny mods don't provide any karma. Since it was so clever, they probably went with informative to provide karma and also additionally rickroll people.
Yep. Since someone at some point gave him the go ahead to do this ridiculous idea that wasted time and it did little... I can't believe that they hadn't already made the call to block most ports or filter dns requests. This sounds a lot like a really poorly managed conference network and a really bored admin. Really though, it's a 150mbps network. That's like when I was in college and downloaded linux isos from other universities just to see how fast the transfer would be. It's not my fault if they allowed me to saturate the network that I was a guest on.
GIMP and Scribus really cannot compare to CS4, or CS for that matter. I'd love to move my print and web based shop over, but even the FOSS guys only give it trials to humor me. It's so far from production print work. Hell, in my personal photography use with a point and shoot digital camera, I still prefer Photoshop over GIMP.
Or personal financial software and tax prep. I'd to give money to someone for something better than gnucash and most people only want the big names for tax prep (sourceforge folks, thanks for coming out, but you aren't gonna convince most people).
My unlocked and jailbroken has only purchased apps (some expensive ones) and a few free ones from elsewhere, but GP was referring to the 30% of each app's sale that Apple takes for themself. He wasn't referring to the percentage of apps on a jailbroken phone that are pirated.
I'm extremely annoyed by that, yet I love the service so much and I don't think I can cancel it.
Then you answered your own question. If you continue to use the service, you're giving them positive reinforcement that their activities are acceptable.
I'm interested in your movie theater statement. I've worked at one and regularly attend different cinemas, but have never noticed different sizes. Do you have additional information?
If one experiences bullying, isolation, social discomfit and inferiority complexes, these people won't be your lifelong friends. You'll thank the day you leave and build real friendships.
Some would say it was the worst years of a life (socially) till you arrived at a university.
Go back and audit some classes, I disagree completely. In '05 plenty of people had laptops in classes and my visits show that it's become even more dominant. Many people I know carried laptops with them if only to use in between classes or later in the library. Now a bunch of them have netbooks. Update your Facebook while having a pint or take some notes during a lecture or fine tune a paper minutes before it is due. Perhaps it depends on the university, discipline aside maybe different universities have different adoption rates.
I guess it worked though, you can't remember the other "bad "brand. The brand which happened to be an advertiser.
That would be funny if your reference used the link that you referenced. Is there a Saturday in your estimate? What about holidays?

I've only been a liar about being a lier.

Danville is full of pricks with too much money that think they are better than everyone. Thanks for reinforcing this stigma.
They don't generate, they report on it. That's like saying a local news station goes out crashing cars in order to generate news stories.
Is this new? The meta tag for the date attribute on that page says 20080203
I'm still waiting for IPv6 to be implemented.
Ummm... He's seven. Make the kid independent already.
I prefer the cutscenes of Super Mario Bros and ExciteBike. When are films gonna achieve that quality? I mean Avatar tried, but didn't quite nail it.
Damn, that's fucked up.

Did you use recycled aluminum on that tin-foil hat?

Yes, right now AT&T doesn't allow unlocks even after your commitment. But they are the only official provider in the states too.
Redundant by a minute's previous post... thanks mods.
