    I've spoken to a cop who was ordered to systematically search any Arabic persons and arrest any who didn't have proper ID in the months following 9/11. So yes, this was happening.

    um what?

    Why would I use old growth wood (which is expensive due to demand for good quality wood) when I can use cheap young growth wood (either from farms or recent growth in forests).

    It makes no economic sense at all to use anything but scrap for paper.

    Part of the corruption with ID in India right now is unpersons, people with no ID and who have been 'lost' in the records. Asshats (who probably payed someone to lose the records in the first place) will then go in and claim that person's property as public land, since that person can't prove it belongs to them anymore. A better ID sceme and a central database will hopefully alleviate the problem, even if there are still other exploits in the system to be used.

    I'm going to rip it apart for different reasons than RMS would.. I installed moonlight, but every time I tried to access a silverlight page it refused to even try to load, said I needed silverlight instead.

    Presumably, its bad for Google in the same way that pursuing search has been bad for Microsoft. It costs a lot of money for very little benefit. Draining each companies coffers rather than each company doing damage to each other.

    In a true MAD scenario, neither side can really quit either. If MS regains its 90s level of control it will have leverage capable of doing real damage to Google. If Google is left unchecked it might be able to put real pressure on the market to switch to non MS products.

    Personally, seeing these two destroy themselves trying to hurt each other would make me pretty giddy. Especially if Google keeps attacking MS with more code releases.

    Something you might want to consider given your weight loss issue is egg white. The fake egg that comes in a carton. A quart of the stuff is only a couple hundred calories. Mix it with more normal portions of other things for nutrition and yyou can get a balanced diet despite your appetite. I lost 40 something pounds on the stuff.

    Also look into multivitamins, sometimes appetite control issues are from a vitamin deficiency.

    Spending 6 hours a day doing something does not make it an addiction. Suffering from depression because you aren't spending 6 hours a day doing something makes it an addiction (outside of sleeping and autonomous functions).

    Wouldn't it also be abnormal as hell if somebody didn't become depressed after being cut off from their social circle for an extended period? Depression seems like a bad indicator compared to say, ditching work to chat online. Even then the person might just be a lazy bum.

    Wikipedia is not a citable source, nor does it have the details necessary for me to do a peer review.

    None of your links have any actual data to them, they do not have citations which include the data. They do not include the equations used to come to the conclusions either. Without those, there is no way to determine if the theory has merit.
