The main purpose of Chain Shot was to clear the decks of marines/sailors. You wanted to keep the ship as intact as possible in order to either take it as a prize and keep it in service or capture the cargo (Spanish Galleons - Treasure) unless it was an enemy armada (Straights of Trafalgar) where the objective is to sink/destroy the enemies naval strength (Iron Bottom Sound - PT 109) and Midway Island.
but when do I need a keyboard? 2 or more times a day. So when do I carry a bluetooth keyboard around? All Damn Day because I never know when the hell I'll need the stinking thing. Does that answer your Question Fool?
Yes most people don't need to lug a keyboard around with the iDevice but it's because they're not designed for data entry. Because of this, they're extremely limited in their usage model to being no more then a damn idiot box for Consuming Content. So get fat and lazy people. You don't need to think for yourselves or even think at all. Just be another damn unproductive mouth that only wants what it's given.
Not just Iran but the entire Middle East, Including Israel. Yes I did say Israel. Let God sort them all out and claim the damn oil and such for ourselves instead of this constant bickering about who's going to get it.
In this case, I'm as serious as a case of AIDS and feel that the best long term solution is to simply excersise our Nuclear Arsenal and remind the rest of the world Why In Hell You Don't Want to Go to War with America. Remember, we are the first and only country to use Nuclear Weapons and we'll most likely be the Only Ones to use them Again.
HP already has such a system. The latest DM1z with the AMD Fusion APU chip. Gets between 8-10 hours and the best thing is, it runs Windows. Why in hell would I want a toy OS when I can already get a useful Work OS that allows me to do actual work with actual company docs and such?
I also don't turn in my old phones when I upgrade/replace under contract as here in the states, you get nothing for doing so. Another thing is, if the new phone dies, I still have all of my numbers and information that's in the old phone and can simply contact the carrier and reactivate it. Finally, 911 is a universal service in the states and any phone is able to access it, even those w/o service contracts. That's by Federal Law, meaning that even an older cell can still be used in an emergency to contact 911 if/when needed.
the Novel "The White Plague" by Frank Herbert was based upon this idea. The worst of it is, the novel was written in 1982 and was quite possible then. With the improvements that have been made in the hardware, I suspect it's even more possible that Radical's could use a Bio-Weapon against everyone else after they've developed a vaccine/treatment for the damn thing.
Personally, this concerns me far more then Bombs do because of how widespread the problem would be. Sure a Nuke used on L.A. or NYC would create a big issue but the damage would be localized instead of dispersed over a wide region such as would happen with a Bio-weapon.
lots of data centers are having to look at TDP issues as they're starting to reach the limits of both their cooling and electrical connections. Lower TDP means less heat, meaning less cooling and power demand
As a desktop user, the reason I'm willing to stick with AMD is their performance per watt. That's right, I like cooler running parts as the system fans don't have to spin so fast, thus making less noise and as I live in the desert, I sure as hell don't need extra heat during the summer though during the winters it means I don't have to turn my electric heater on.
The only problem with selling my soul is I already did that and they now have to supena the Devil himself into court to find out why they can't have it instead.
and I always check the reviews to see what's going wrong in the last 6 months. This has helped me avoid products with Q/A Dips or where something was going wrong for a while. Much easier to ensure that everything works instead of being stuck with DOA hardware that youhave to pay to send back for replacement.
and this is exactly why I don't trust any cert until I know exactly who issued it. In my case, that's a grand total of 8 certs I actually need to trust on a regular basis, not the damn mess that FF/IE/Opera and Chrome all insist are trustworthy
Except where I live, EULA's are not recognized by the State as being legal in any shape/form or manner. Simply put, they're completely unenforcable, meaning that any and all EULA's that appear on purchased software have absolutely no bearing upon my purchasing decisions. The only thing that does, is just how much of an Asshole the company is about support and do I have to fight them in court to even get them to recognize their warranty obligation? If so, then unless they are the only source of a particular type of software, I simply refuse to buy their product.
Since California does not recognize EULA's (Cupertino is in California) there is no possibility of violating it in the state and the funny thing is, the EULA states? that it's enforcable in the State of California, which absolutely refuses to recognize them. Who thinks this would stand a chance in hell of being enforced then?
So you have the option of buying OS X and installing it onto any hardware you want that will run it.
In both Ie and FF. I'm sorry but those damn idiot web designers who insist that a 4px font is readable because they still use a 320x240 screen need to upgrade to something reasonable like 1024x768, means I've been forced to learn enough about CSS to begin creating my own overriding page to prevent those damn pesky and funky fonts/colors/sizes that make it impossible to read their sites. Of course, when I hit one of those sites, I add them to my block list though if I can get the custom css page working correctly, then I'll be a happy turtle.
The reason the CA system is broken is because we're not using the White List Model of "Trust No One". I've had to address this issue in Firefox by going through the entire list of certificates and marking everyone of them as untrusted and the funny thing is, I've only had to create a dozen exceptions to that model. These are websites that I depend such as my bank, merchants (Newegg), Google as I do use their https mode. Seriously, it did suprise me that I only needed 12 exceptions to the rule and each one is an individual exception.
There's quite a few of us who prefer 3.5 over the Windification that 4.x has become. For example, in 3.5 I have multiple desktops to organize my work flows but under 4.x they decided to toss the baby out with the bath water and switch to the single desktop paradign. Doesn't help me get work done due to destroying years of customizations to support my workflows.
Simply put, if I wanted to use Windows, I'd damn well install it and throw out my productivity, yet I prefer to get stuff done, meaning that 3.5 still suits my needs. In other words "If it aint broke, then don't fix it!"
The solution we've developed to this problem is the use of a password safe such as KeePass by each user and having the Master PW written (hardcopy) stored in both the fire proof safe and our safe deposit boxes. This ensures that private account access remains private until after death and that the information can not be revealed even by subpoena due to the 5th still being applicable while alive.
To us, the primary benefit is the ability to quickly and safely access those accounts as needed due to the master pw for the safes being available in the event of death or incapacitance. Another just as relavent benefit is the usage of unique pw's for every account, thus reducing the compromise potential of multiple accounts.
If your secrets are so sensitive that you cannot even accept the risk that multiple relatives are compromised, then you just cannot share it, and your secret will die with you.
Using KeePass allows for the creation of multiple safes, each with a different password, thus solving the stated problem while allowing continued access while alive.
Not some models as they've gone to fully electric shifting (shift by wire). Means there's no physical connection between the auto-stick and the transmission anylonger so if the damn computer decides to kill you (Exterminate! Exterminate!) you're S.o.L
Why Not? Hardware Failure or simply consumerism and wanting the latest/greatest iProduct
I just upgraded my cell phone to a new model after using my last one for 7 years and the only reason I did was hardware failure. Can't find replacement batteries for it any longer.
and I have to absolutely disagree about compiler optimizations. To many times the toolchain does something that actually slows things down and makes debugging far more difficult becuase every build is different.
What I want is all software to build the same way, consistently and that's why the *BSD folks began work on their own toolchain. Simply put, they'd discovered too many cases where the toolchain was introducing flaws due to changes in how it optimized things even when using the same hardware and settings. Not good when you're trying to debug something.
So give me a toolchain that builds things strictly as written so I can see where the lag points are. I'll then be able to revise the flowchart (you do know how to flow chart?) to account for the lag points and begin reworking just those sections.
I took it to mean that the poster is an American who's currently not living in the U.S, which would explain the USAian usage. It also conveys they element that not all people who live in the U.S.A are American and to me that's a good thing.
That's based upon normal hearing frequency loss as men get older or suffer hearing damage due to low frequency sounds - eg: Explosions, gun fire, AA and such.
In my case, I'd love to have Michael Dorn (Worf) or Nichele Nichols (Uhura) for my TTS needs. Dorn's voice is instantly recognizable and he's got great pronounciation while I just love Uhura's "Hailing Frequencies Open, Captain."
As a desktop user, I don't give a damn how long the system takes to boot as the only time it now shuts down is for Win Updates. Guess the fact that the last boot took 2 minutes makes me a retard, yet I normally have a working system in less then 5 seconds from STR mode (suspend to ram). Networking does take a few seconds longer as it has to aquire an IP but I can be back to playing an offline game, using Office, reading email and such by the time I sit down in my chair after moving the mouse.
I've even gotten into the habit of letting Windows STR on my laptop when heading off to where ever as the power consumption in STR is negligable and gives me at least 4 hours at half charge before I have to find a plug for it. It's taken me a bit of effort but I've managed to get the system to perform almost as well as OSX does on the various Mac Books. Keep in mind though, it takes a windows user some time to get used to the settings, about 3 months in my case to fully adjust but now it's the first thing I do on any notebook and yes I do group netbooks in the same category.

I really don't think that last 120 pixels matter all that much, really.
And I say Bull Pucky to that. If it aint 2560x2400 then it's not a monitor, it's a damn TV that claims to be a Monitor.
I always thought Adam and Eve were fish from the stars. That's why they lived so long and had so many kids.

Best use of Godwin's Law I've seen so far

But in year my cell phone will be outdated
