so basicaly openBSD is breaking ipf's guy copyright ? because ipf guy never allowed modifications/redistributions and the way copyright works is that any right not explicitly granted is implicitibly reserved. thus because he is not giving permission for modifications it means that you can not modify it.

i'm really impressed. everything (except scsi) worked out of box. x works perfectly, sound works. even install program was easy and userfriendly. i was really impressed by how well support for european languages was integrated into it. for exemple i choose swedish keyboard and swedish installation so mandrake automaticaly installed swedish translations for most of the programs. i dont have any problems writing/reading english but most people in europe probably have. so this is the major advantage of mandrake over other distros (at least over debian).

i switched yesterday from debian (been using debian since 1.3.1) to mandrake (8.0 beta 3). mandrake install crashed several times during install and installed first after i pulled out my scsi card. it seems that it was missdetecting my scsi card and trying to load wrong drivers.
now to my question :), do you know any web resources / docs that contain list of differences between mandrake and debian ? i'm feeling kinda lost. lots of things are slightly different and i feel like i dont have any control over my system.

this is exactly the reason why i'm going to switch to mandrake. i've been using debian since 1.3.1 and i still think its best distro around, but lately i've been more and more annoyed by its "slowness". i dont want to wait 6 months to update to kde 2.x.

now someone will probably say "just update your apt-sources list and let apt-get get kde 2.x for you". problem here is that its not only kde or enlightment that is out of date. 60% of other packages are also out of date and i dont want to update my sources list for every package that i need to get up to date.
