Very nice if you were the "trusted" student that could keep your dorm at exactly the right temp for you. As for the other guys in my dorm, hmm sorry I liked it cold. As for security on those the only issues we had were the buildings guys calling me saying they could not login because they didnt know how to use a computer. The NSA stripped it of everything classified I am sure and it was the ever so secretive Forestry service that gave it to them. Last time I checked the Forest service could care less about all that security. As for the astronomers they got to save a lot of money on building sat dishes and buildings. They also got one hell of a wired compound. Now to just figure out how to tour it cause that wouldbe cool.

This is annoying. Just because I could be a script kiddie that knows how to deface a web page, that means nothing that I am able to create firewalls. For my ability to work with security issues and to configure firewalls within our corporate network(which our web pages tend to be only semi-inside of) I have had training and a lot of experience. Mostly the experience and looking. Yes it is possible for some punk to run a port scan and find a backdoor but that is more than likely because I screwed up or I am having to leave a small door open for one of our customers to communicate with us. We have had attempts I am sure but I have never seen a true breach of our network. I know that if my company fired me to hire some kid with no experience and only the ability to run a script and root some poorly configured server somewhere I would laugh all the way to my next job as I watched their network crumble. I'm basing this rant on this quote: "We want to use them positively so that they can create adequate firewalls so that nobody can hack our country's Web sites," If they plan only to have them as a panel to educate the law enforcement and say hey look its mostly harmless but we need to educate people to ensure proper safeguards are in place so that no one can do serious damage then cool. If that is the case then this is good. If they plan to have these guys designing firewalls then hehehehehehehe. I know that I will not be getting one.

Every country in the EU needs to have a voice in this matter but in a since Germany is right, they should have more say than Cyprus. But Cyprus and Luxemburg should have a say also. Hence something like the electoral system we use everyone gets a vote but you get a few more for more population. If we want to elect Rob to be president and there are enough of us that would be our choice as well. Yes you do have a vested interest in who we choose however we have choosen fairly well so far. And we will continue to choose fairly well in the future. That is one of the nice things about our country if we choose poorly on our president he can't do much except make us look kind of ridiculous. The congress and Supreme Court can seriously curtail his power. And also he won't want to do that because then he would not be reelected. Leave us alone. This is our election. Also if all a football player heres is us calling him a dumb jock then he is going to respond using his size. I know I have used my size in many times in the past to settle arguments.
