Now I'm a bit confused, but I'm a simpleton so that is not a hard thing to do. So are you saying that the lawyer made a comment indicating he knew where the body was, or that the prosecutor knows where she is?
I really don't think she's dead. The reason I say this is because random blood spotting from someone who should of been in the car is not reason enought to convict. It's like going to a murder trial for your wife, who was killed in your house, using your fingerprints on a table as evidence. Your prints are expected there. I mean there is loads that points toward killing too, but there is reasonable doubt. And if there is doubt you can't convict, because you essentially take his life too.
I still to this day am very convinced that his wife set this up and framed him. All the stuff about the kid's citizenship and the hard push to keep them in Russia makes me think. There just seem to be a lot of pieces missing and plenty of reasonable doubt. I'm still trying to figure out what Jury convicted him. Most of the evidence was completely circumstantial and there is plenty of doubt present. It just doesn't shake out to me.
Hmmm... my linux boxes all run fine. Matter of fact the only real problem I've ever had was getting my old matrox dual head video card to work properly and that was in 2000. Other than that you'll have to expand upon these bugs you speak of. As far as the windows stuff goes... Yeah it's totally buggy, I agree. I work on that crap ass OS everyday of my life as an admin. I think the best part of this all was that it was my experiences as a windows admin that convinced me to run Linux.
P.S. There is no such thing as a forward slash.
I still find it amusing that so many people think that if you put OSX on a OC you'll get the same experience as you do on Mac hardware... You folks know that if Mac ran on anything it would be just a buggy and fucked up as windows right? The only reason it runs smoothly now is because Apple controls the hardware. The day you can run it on any machine in the world will be the day that Mac zealots finally shut the fuck up about how superior their shit ass OS is.
The world will one day learn that Linux is the true way through. Until then clever marketing will sell hunks of shit, and create a cult around them. iFag.
Can I toggle weapons and view my inventory with the glove too? Because if I can just toggle from say my M4 to my usp it would be extremely helpful when entering a close combat situation, where my M4 is too large to just poke around corners.
What I took from this is they are asking for the right to prevent crimes before they take place? How the hell is that possible? Talking about something and doing it are two different things. Someone speaking about revolution against a tyrannical government is a lot different than someone mounting a revolution. The same goes for terrorist-like activities. They know the American people are unhappy with their government and shit is brewing for them, now they are looking for ways to control it before it starts.
Then secure it and stop putting the burden on everyone else. The same way you lock your car, lock your wi-fi and put up a disclaimer saying you don't want anyone to use it. I leave a Wi-Fi router open in my DMZ so that people can use it when they straggle along. I pay for mine too, but I don't mind sharing because the bandwidth that is likely to get used won't ever have any effect on my connection. As far as plausible deniablilty I have have plenty because I have an open an unsecured wireless router. Remember the whole innocent until proven guilty thing? or is that just something of the past out here now-a-days. Police can talk to me all they want...
See: John Edwards campaign.
When the corporations don't want you to win they simply don't give you news coverage. It's hard to break the mold when the majority of the avenues to break the mold are owned by the molding company.
Maybe the guy who wrote this article works in a building full of programmers or something, because short of that this is the dumbest idea I've ever heard. If I let my users have control of anything the PC's would be full of yahoo toolbars, itunes and some random spyware app that "automatically switches their desktops".
I know plenty of these self proclaimed techies. They go home, they watch tech TV, they read all the latest computer magazines and they can recite what the best video card is down to the chipset revision number... The things they don't know are the most important though, and its info you wouldn't be privi to unless you knew the system, like say a sys admin or desktop support tech would. You know like program dependencies... drive mappings, registry hacks. I honestly don't know one out of the box solution that we use at our company. Every one of our apps, including the mainstream ones, have been customized to work with our environment.
I wish these dumb assholes would learn that not all PC's are your home PC. Just because you can add and remove programs sufficiently at home bears no indication that you can do anything useful in a production corporate environment. Your windows XP home edition bears little to no resemblence to the system we've put in your office. Leave it alone. We QA and test every image that goes into production, your app may not jive with our app... There are reasons to have specialists in every area. People just want to be know-it-all assholes. I don't pretend to be a cosmologist because I watch Discovery Space.
People just have no respect for IT and because of that everyone always has a better solution. people should concentrate on their jobs and stop worrying about how to get rid of the IT department, we're here, we're not going anywhere. If your IT department is lazy or can't provide solutions for you, get rid of the certificate junkies and get some real techs in place. If you give a roadmap of what you need we can make unicorns appear, at least my IT department can.
...ane when it does disappear from the soil you will probably see malaria cases start to surface again. Why? Well that would be because the two species of mosquito that are the main culprits in spreading the disease are still around in the united states. if I wasn't so lazy I'd link you to the CDC page that talks about it but, again, I'm lazy.
DDT Does a body Good.
Since veryone has them tin foil hats on...
I think it isn't to modify the OS to monitor people, it is to infiltrate the open source community. Remember that they see the internet as a threat and a place for extended warfare. If that is truely the case you need only to have read the art of war to understand what they are trying to do and how they are trying to position themselves.
He's just afraid of his OS becoming mainstream, because then he'll have to start using BeOS to be cool. I mean running what everyone else does is so uncool.
What about when they introduce parts of the data and have other parts of it thrown out? Because evidence laws work funny like that. Just because one piece of the evidence is admissible does not infer that the whole body of evidence is allowed. What if some procedural error takes place and all of the data that shows you're innocent is thrown out via "fruit of the poison tree" (look it up if you have to.)
I guess at that point you'll take a moment to look back and reflect on your views, but it'll be too late.
I find that I hit the same walls with family and friends about this issue as well. The problem is that nothing really bad has been done with the info yet. Historically it takes something really bad to wake an American from their Mc Donald's induced coma. Yes, I am American, but I am increasingly ashamed of the people living in my country that also refer to themselves as Americans. I truely believe that we are well on our way to a police state. It took about 4 years of planning and 2 of execution to for Hitler to sieze power, a few more to turn his country into a police state. the same goes for Stalin. All of them did it with the bullshit bravado of "national pride". Most people think I'm crazy, I imagine that this would also be the same contingent that believes sacrificing liberty for safety is something worth doing. When all they really give up is liberty; as safety is a relative term and can never be truely achieved in the way they preach.
The only thing to do is to continue to talk to family and friends about this in the hopes that they see what is happening before it is "too late". I honestly think the tipping point has already been passed though, and we are screwed. I think the day is coming that all Americans are going to be faced with a tough decision, one that can only be made once you realize that the life we had no longer exists. I think protesting and questioning our government is important and everyone should take part, while we are still allowed.
It will take something bad before people wake up, it will take their neighbors being arrested.
Travelling to the past this wouldn't present much of a problem really. You'd just need to figure the shift into the equation. Travelling to the future and you'd only need to know the rate of expansion in order to predict the outcome. Then you'd need to use some sort of probe that dropped out of subspace to measure mass as a checksum.
But that brings up philisophical questions and it will determine your viewpoint as well. Do you believe in multiverse or single universe? Single universe and you can't travel to the future because it hasn't happened yet. Multiverse; you could go but it isn't your place and you'll probably never go back to your place. There is also the whole theory that if there is a single universe that you could not ever create a paradox because the universe will actively prevent it.
That is the problem with the world. They think making a silly law will change anything. How about we leave the laws alone for a while...
Just a suggestion.
I'm following you now and I didn't know that before. hrm. Something to ponder.

Sorry mate, I'm used to being attacked whenever the M$ word comes up.

I'll just store all my sensitive data on a goverment server, they'll never find them there.

Something from Nothing? I'm sure Plato is rolling over in his grave as we speak.
That website made me want to kill someone. Just sayin'

All this talk of Hawking, Penrose, and so forth and no one considers Frank Tipler to be a great?

Still wasn't funny then.

I wonder if he wants to sell me the rights to the domain. I wouldn't mind getting some eamisl from the air force, I get lonely sometimes.
