    That is absolutely stupid !

If the FBI came to me and told me that one of my hosts had bomb making info, I'd give them access to the server, so that they can monitor who are accessing the site, in order to locate them.
If people go to this site, this means that they are interested by its content.

Closing the site just sends an alert to the terrorists, and allows them to flee or enter dormant mode, with no way to track them later.

The Hollywood Accounting here is that they add all the previous developments into the total, since they use parts of the previous sources.

So, they add the prices of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo 2, and I'm probably missing some others...

Frankly, this is one of the poorest PR I ever read.

If I would have managed a game which cost 100 millions, it would mean that I'm a very bad manager, and I doubt I'll ever find another job.
As an ex-game programmer, I know how much game companies like to announce that their game cost a fortune, but these are lies.

And now, I'm prepared to hear that they'll spend 1 billion on their next game.

So, basically, the resellers were making money by reselling tickets that they bought via hacking of the reservation system.
And now, you'd like to preserve the current flawed system ?

    Suggestion:
Allow the system to reimburse the tickets (minus 5-10% of the original price, for example), and all the problems are solved.

This system works fine with train reservations, why won't it work on concert tickets ?

The development competition is nice when the project is very short, and no quality is needed, so most of the consultants projects are in this category.

One of my colleagues explained me that in his previous job, there were 2 software architects who competed this way when a new extension in their project was needed.
The winner was never chosen by the code quality, but by the first delivery, so I can only imagine how terrible is the code to maintain, since most of the code has been written in a few minutes.

There is a known rule that states that the most time is spent on writing the first code, the least time is spent on maintaining it.
