Also being a Canadian, I agree wholeheartedly with the thrust of your argument. For now, we'll just have to sit back and wait until the EU starts fighting amongst themselves as they have for most of the past five hundred years.I'll just satisfy myself by taking another look at Berlusconi getting cracked in the face. A couple more of them and he'll start to look like a hockey player. The EU is a joke.

Hasn't the Freedom of Association been cancelled out by the anti-gang legislation, wherein you cannot be a member of a criminal gang? As well, you CAN have a conversation with whoever you want as long as you don't make a racial comment or insult their religion as this would be a hate crime. And if you make an inappropriate comment about anything repeatedly or even look at someone in what is deemed an improper way that is harassment. As well, if you are talking about getting drugs or robbing a bank, that would be a conspiracy charge. So yes, the Bill of Rights does give you a right to talk to anyone you want. Just be very careful what you talk about.

This has to be one of the worst examples I've seen of law enforcement over stepping their boundaries. Nobody can argue that child porn is bad stuff BUT taking your computer if you accidentally dl it is almost more outrageous than 20 years in prison for possession. Wouldn't it be better if you were trying to download something of dubious origin to save it on a USB thumb drive? Just bypass the hard drive until you're sure it's safe.

  12. People Miss The Point on Can We Really Tell Lossless From MP3? · · Score: 0

To say that someone did an objective test which found mp3s or flacs sound better is fundamentally flawed. Now if you listened enough and trained your ears you would hear things that others might miss. I have no doubt that a top studio producer would hear things in the mix that I would not. And also,I would hear things that the teenager up the street with ADD and a fifteen second attention span would not.
If you want to LISTEN to music, you have to really LISTEN.
And I don't care if some people think that mp3s sound better. Their opinions
are obviously irrelevant. Even a 320 kb/s mp3 sounds "off". Some people think
Creative makes a good sound card. Go figure.

Consequently our taxes are higher than yours, but we haven't been brainwashed to hate them as much as you have.
