Well, if you saw the movie, it seems the series would be short 2 characters. One major character (Walsh). Though I think Jayne is priceless in the whole series and in the movie....

I think that if you wanted to teach your kids the other side, you should take them to SUNDAY SCHOOL or whatever. You can't expect Public Education to do everything for you. Just look at how our educational system compares, with, say, Japan's.....
Perhaps the Robots need to help Slashdot's Authors out. Radation causes brain damage, and I think the robot needs to go into the Slashdot bunker. Crawl over all the Anime Porn, and rescue the authors.

Seriously though, I can't remember the last time I used IE on my Macs. I use Safari a lot, and love the.Mac syncing, so my bookmarks are always the same between the 3 macs I have. In those rare times Safari doesn't work, FireFox is readily available.
On my XP machine, I NEVER use IE. It's always FireFox......
Yes, agreed. Why do they keep reissuing "enhanced" CDs of old recordings? To me, they don't always sound great. I have like 3 or 4 versions of Miles Davis and Coltrane CDs in my collection. Why do I need another version? I also have GOLD discs of Pink Floyd I bought in the 90s. Why do I need another version?
Perhaps if the industry produced better albums, I'd buy more.....As it is right now, I buy maybe 3 albums every couple of months.....and I usually buy USED, not new.

I hear you man. I still remember a lot of AT commands for modems, even though I left modems behind in 1995 (ISDN baby, then fractional frame, now DSL).
Now, I hope those PUSH clients don't come back. I can't remember the name of the company, but they were really big in 1996ish. Weather, news, etc. Lame.
Somehow I think Java, Perl, PHP and all those others are going to be around for a long time.........

This is very true. Take Samurari X, the director's cut. The subtitles and the English audio don't agree. The subtitles make more sense. A lot of the spoken English doesn't make sense.
I think the next step is instead of a fan sub, a fan DUB. Get a group of fairly good voice people and dub in what they are speaking.....

Oh my God. The content and the story lines are great. That is the reason why Galactica has a huge following. Edward James Olmos has been awesome in just about every episode. It's a very powerful show.
Maybe you can get George Lucas to digitally enhance the Prisoner series like he did Star Wars? I mean, I hear he is looking for work now that Star Wars is all done......
Battlestar is more like a re-invisioning. Battlestar pays credit to the original, and breaks new ground. But it is a diamond amongst many many rocks. I can't think of another example of a remake being up to par or better than the original. And with the bar so high on the original Prisoner series.......
Seriously. The Prisoner is a classic. It would be like remaking Citizen Kane. Of course, they did remake Psycho.......another classic. And look at the results there. Terrible remake.
A petition should be started to prevent this remake from happening.
