    I'm amazed at how much work people go through to get content.

    If spending two minutes setting up an automatically recurring payment is too much work, then installing Firebug and searching for streams will feel like 24-hour slavery.

    You're confusing the BBC with BBC Worldwide - the latter is the commercial arm of the BBC, which means if they want to sell DVDs, they can sell DVDs. Yes, the profits do go into the BBC itself, but if that keeps the licence fee down, then I'm all for it.

    As opposed to the YLOD fiasco at Sony?

    That was blown out of all proportion by the media. The actual failure rates were about 0.5%, which is fairly normal for devices of that type.

    Even the RROD was made out to be a lot worse than it actually was.

    It's more that there's a 'pre-green' phase that allows drivers to prepare to go. Sometimes, the lead vehicle starts moving before the green. This is OK so long as they don't cross the line until after the change to green.
