if you "buy" a game from Steam, they own your game and not you. You are the one who has to request access to play the game(or to play in offline mode) and a ban can screw up your "purchased" game library.
If you want to have some games, do NOT go to Steam.
Bah... Been there, done that... Optical broadband is already rolled out in Norway, the "entry level" line is 10/10mb (yes, symetric), very stable and high quality with separate extra bandwith for Ip TV.
Now, if the rest of the world follows, internet content will only get heavier and the demand for even more bandwith will grow:-(
Guess we'll have to double the bandwith every 18 month in the future? "
And if harddisks stayed at their 50 MB size, we only would be able to store textfiles on them. Now, with 1TB+ drives we have to worry about storing images, movies and some nice-looking games on them. The humanity.

With the rate IPv4 adressess are running out it is only a matter of time before we will switch to ipv6. It might be 3 years from now or perhaps even more but when ipv4 becomes scarce(and it will), people and (internet)companies will try and make the switch to ipv6.

Why would anyone choose to run Windows 2008 Server as their desktop OS (one would have to un-configure a lot of server things out of the box, like server process having processor priority over user programs) and if this is not a desktop then why the fancy sound card? That you can do more things with e. (a^x)' = (a^x)*ln(a) and every formula with the for a^x can be rewritten to an e power. Furthermore e^(i*g) = cos(g) + i*sin(g) and e is used extensively in calculating odds. Pi has its uses but isn't so omnipresent as e is.
Well, I understand your position but no system is perfect.
Example:
You release the game "Dungeon Plunderers" and you give it the version number 1.0 at release and increment(to 1.01 or 1.1, whatever is the liking) when releasing updates.
Now you release the sequel "Dungeon Plunderers 2", what should its version number be? 1.0? 2.0? Both things could be argued for. 1.0 because of the fact that it has no direct software connection with "Dungeon Plunderers 1" and may use things like a new graphics engine or even a total overhaul of the playstyle. 2.0 can also be argued for since you are talking about "Dungeon Plunders 2" and not the first game and naming it 1.0 can create a lot of confusion.
Every numbering system has its pros and cons and as long as the system is consistent and there is some sort of clear indication what version you are talking about (like the difference between 1.0 and 1.00) I personally think it shouldn't be that much of problem.

Now think Greek times - child prostitution and deviance went through the roof, due to the acceptation of it.
Google treats outages like damage and routs around it.
Then I'll wait for Windows 7.2

No, that only happens 34% of the time, a signification minority and not the majority you claimed.
"A change for the worse?"
Well, looking at the politics of the US I can most certainly say that it's change I can believe.

It seems that my 3 year estimate was close to the estimates of the people who should know.

Yeah, that's a great function.
Uhmm wait, how do you know the length of my password?
You can hunter2 my hunter2ing hunter2. You can't see hunter2!
Da City?
Yes, but is pretty much the only thing the town's famous for. Interesting times they must have lived in.

Vote Palin 2012!
Well, I can see it from all the pixels and having seen quite a few shops in my time.
But that's just me.

Does drinking help? I can't make spaghetti out of this.

We Europeans will have to suffice with e day, (day two of month 7), which is OK since e outperforms pi in maths anyway.

Do you mean many as a lot of people or many as in a very vocal minority?

Yes, that's why I'll wait for ext4 SP2.
Makes perfect sense: Germans are rediculously punctual, if the allocation is delayed you just KNOW something is terribly wrong.
"Are you trying to make some kind of point here?"
Yes, there is a lot of pointless hate for Voyager and I don't get it.
