This popular extension checkbox idea sounds pretty good. I will say, there are several filtering options besides Adblock. I've been pleased with a decent hosts file http://everythingisnt.com/hosts.html and Flashblock. In the past, have enjoyed Proxomitron. There are probably good Greasemonkey scripts, etc.
>>> In order to keep everyone happy, I'd suggest an option in the installer which provides you with 5 or so top extensions (already pre-ticked, with an option to deselect all) and if you continue with them enabled then firefox will automatically download and install them for you.
Ditto. I hesitated to post positive comment on a specific store for maybe being labeled a shill, but I I'll chime in. I've purchased nearly 2 dozen system lenses and bodies from B&H http://bhphotovideo.com/ usually 1 or 2 pieces at a time, over the past 4 years. Had to return a defective Canon 1D, and that was handled well. They don't have the most rock-bottom prices, but, then, dealing with them is not a typical NewYorkCameraStore risk. Their prices are always better than local prices. I got good enough deals that I've been able to Ebay some of the equipment I no longer needed for little or no loss.
Try the NoScript extension for Firefox. Gives you a context menu from an icon in the status bar, where you can flip scriting on -- permanently or temporarily -- for a particular web site.
That's fairly apt. Since I started playing e-Scrabble with a friend last year, she's bought (us) a couple of Scrabble dictionaries, at least one book about scrabble, and a new scrabble game set. We're playing live and on-line, whereas I had not played in years, prior to this.
Many Direct TV users have a permanent phone connection, primarily for ordering Pay Per View. But, it could also phone home time spent on each channel, at regular intervals. I've often wondered why this hasn't been done (if it isn't already being done).
I can appreciate Reeve as much as the next guy

Superman Set To Fly

· Score: 1
But, just what would he have brought to a new Superman production? Reeve was an Actor. When he played Superman, he uttered the words written by script writers, wearing the costume designed by others, on the sets built by a production crew, with the facial and vocal expressions required by a director. What special expertise would Reeve have added?
Is the supposition below based on fact, or on the writer's emotional need to elevate Reeve beyond reason?
>> Had it not been for his recent passing, Christopher Reeve would surely have been part of the production team in some capacity.
All types of criminals and sociopaths would chose to go along with the tofu eating, group-hugging libertines, knowing, of course, they wouldn't stand a chance with the nasty conservatives. They would terrorize the peace-niks in no time at all. That side would become a pirate state, or, if they're lucky, would be rescued by their estranged brethren.
The ONLY people I want voting are the ones who care enough to get out and do it on their own. The unmotivated are more likely to be seduced by superficial last-minute appeals for their votes.
Light weight rotors and other mechanisms developed for this type of effort could later be applied to low-powered, low-RPM craft that might be more useful.
>> However, I hate to say it, but I remain a naysayer - I do not think this will happen, and should it happen, would never become universally accepted. Pedal-cars exist now. How many people do you see pedalling down the street?
Better stock up now if you can envision ever needing P2P software for anything -- even purposes that would be deemed by all to be legitimate. Reminds me of the argument firearms: it's the user, not the weapon.
That's not how idealistic (student) journalists work. Those guys got a sensational story, and they knew the risks when they published it. I'm sure they would site "journalistic integrity" and the public's "right to know." And, yes, they've got something that will stand out in their clip files and resumes.
I've also received old hardware for use at school. It didn't take long to start regecting most of it. But, there was value to be had from having students do the scavenging and repair.
Wait. Are you saying that all replies to ACs should be AC? Are you saying all ACs are Trolls? I don't really post around here a lot, though from a fair amount of reading, I thought I had a pretty good grasp.
I just happen to agree with the AC, and thought it was honest of me to say so in my own voice.
Good points. The most interesting thing is that attendance dropped off from Friday to Saturday to Sunday: $8.2M, 7.8M, $5.8M. A Saturday to Sunday drop is normal, but this one's pretty large. The drops indicates some level of frontloading. It's expected to expand into more theaters next week. It's sure to get a bigger audience due to wider release, but the per screen averages my end up being unexpectedly low.
Having worked in small town print news, and having seen numerous misquotes and twisted facts close to home, I cringe at any thought of being the subject of a 'real news' story. No matter how innocuous the topic, there's a good chance the result would be unsatisfactory. Watching major news on the tube is unbearable for the built-in bias and sloppiness. Just say 'No' when ANY 'news' person comes knocking... then you won't have to worry about whether they're fake or not.
It may sound "unfair," that Microsoft is somehow getting out of paying for its actions, but all expenses paid by all businesses for all reasons are always passed on to customers.
It's not really slashdotted. The source was unavailable when the news was posted on the http://hsx.com/ movie forum http://talk.hsx.com/films/post.htm?1119234232.kcpe lot before midnight EST.

And, until 1973, homosexuality was classified as a mental disorder in the APA's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
Maybe. And, I believe one of the founders of Greenpeace or Sierra Club has come out in favor of nuclear power, as you suggest.

These always remind me of X10 ads.
Yes, 'authorized' and 'official' Scrabble dictionaries. Not for memorizing. But, for challenge and verification.

This is NOT a Troll.
It's "hate radio" because you hate it. You need to be more tolerant of other ideas.
