Naive of me, but did anyone RTFA? It says that Iran can now produce heavy water, not that they have a nuclear reactor. FFS, I thought the NYT had higher standards of journalistic integrity than to use a misleading headline.
If no element beyond iron may be fused, where did the elements beyond iron come from?
I suspect that they may be produced in stars and supernovae, but only in relatively small amounts since there's no energy benefit to the star in fusing iron.
See Wikipedia's entry. That symbology was on not only the case, but when you booted up the model number (also with ][) would show at the top of the screen. Likewise with my old Apple//c and the IIgs.
Your attitude is the problem; it's going to come right back at you whenever you deal with the police. Get the fucking chip off your shoulder and learn to deal with the world.
If your data is really critical, do an off-site backup. At the least, burn a CD using a high-quality blank with the most important stuff and put it in a bank safe-deposit box. In another town.
Putting it in a different area of the same disk drive, using the same drive controller, the same motherboard, the same RAM (you get the idea), is asking for trouble.
Wrong. A lot of (not all) Republicans want the government to have a say-so in teaching your kids "morals" and "religion", aka "shoving Christianity down everyone's throats". Unfortunately those are the ones with power right now.
That's a quote from the Illuminatus! trilogy by Wilson and Shea. It's on a stylized painting of Moses receiving the Ten Commandments, but instead of them he gets a tablet bearing "Think for yourself, schmuck!".
ITYM the OSX interface. The OS itself is too heavy for a mobile device that won't cost $$$. It needs 512MB of RAM and a couple GB of hard drive space for the whole thing if you don't want it to crawl (granted, you wouldn't need/all/ that for a PDA).

I suspect you're right. Remember the pics of them with Media Player and BSOD'd Windows Embedded?

Guess who is in charge of the DoJ. Hint: it's in the executive branch.
Would you want lawyer gore scattered everywhere? It might be catching.
"Tyranny of the majority" ring a bell?
Does DHS not put out NOTAMs when they temporarily close an area or add restricted zones?
Audiophools.
Apropos of that, read H.L. Mencken's essay "The Malevolent Jobholder" and H. Beam Piper's novella _Lone Star Planet_.

There is no cabal.

Can you give a link? My Google-fu isn't up to it.
There was no NT 3.0 -- they started with NT 3.1 to match up with standard Windows 3.1.
Did Windows 1.0 really come with a CPU board in the box or are you exaggerating for comic effect?
Dude. Have you considered anger-management counseling?
Mod parent up. Those chavs are vermin.
What reputable newspapers exist in the UK? I hear lots about British gutter press, not so much about actual journalists.

Just remember that the average Slashbot isn't much more intelligent than the average mundane.

I believe the tidal effects would reduce a planet into a debris ring.
Oh, so this is an unsubstantiated rumor and possibly a complete fabrication. Why was this worth posting?
