J. Random AC '97 and CMedia 8738 cards work quite well under Linux. In fact, the only audio chip I've heard of that doesn't used the be Creative's E10K. You shouldn't buy Creative anyway; they're evil.
Because of their memory effect, NiMH are the most inconvenient batteries to use. You have to spend about 24 hours prior to using the camera to discharge and rechard them to make sure you have the maximum charge.
That's NiCd cells that have the memory effect. NiMH cells will just gradually discharge when not in use.
Honestly, I think it has something to do with the idea that "my religion is the Only Correct Way". Word of God and all that.
They're right and everybody else is wrong, which leads naturally to the repression of other ideas and the repression of the people stubbornly holding those other ideas.
Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything special against the Christian religion (more than organized religion in general, anyway) or live-and-let-live Christians, but this is how I see it.
There is no final solution of nuclear waste, and there probably will never be one. It is practically impossible to guarantee a safe place for at least 7 half-lifes of Rubidium 87 or Uranium 238.
The Sun? Provided we can get the stuff past Earth escape velocity without any mishaps, our star would never notice the difference.
TV is also a primary source of information in the event of a natural disaster, or even something as mundane as knowing which schools are closed if it snows.
Um, radio?

Did he say the parts died? Maybe they were replaced with larger/more powerful examples.
OTOH, there are employers who won't wait the traditional two weeks -- if you're not immediately available, no job.
Last time I was looking for a job, I was a bit of a special case: my then-current boss had known for almost a year that I was looking for another job (he was perfectly okay with this); I had only to explain this to that type of employer.
Didn't get me hired, though. Note to self: quit being so fscking honest about not being a people person.
One thing you're forgetting is that the studios will be wholeheartedly behind whichever next-gen format because people will buy all those movies/again/ in the new format.
So document what's going on with your cow-orker, then go to your PHB or PHB->PHB and get his sorry ass fired. If your direct PHB won't do anything, maybe he'll get fired too.
I know a guy who used to work at Imation's floppy disk plant, and he said that yes, the quality of floppies has indeed gone down. Cheaper parts, etc.
Think about it. How much does a box of 10 floppies cost now, versus ten years ago when they were still good quality? You have to sacrifice/something/ to get the price down so much.
The last thing that the Bush administration wants is to bring back the draft.
Unless he gets elected again, at which point why should he care? He can't be elected for a third term and there's no way to remove him from office in the meantime.
Mozilla Firefox had terrible fonts on Linux. I know there is the possibility of using one compiled with xft. But where is it? Whenever a new release is announced, the version producing those bad fonts is what I find.
You'll want the version that's built with GTK2, here.
Did I not say "used to"? I distinctly recall the 2.2 and early 2.4 days when it was quite difficult to get an E10K card working reliably in Linux.

I'll bite at the troll. :-) It's because he committed suicide a few years ago.
Do you think that most people would care?

So don't read the politics section.
Cato, maybe. "Carthago^WIraq delenda est!"

For now.
Hell, minor parties are just as vulnerable to radicals as the majors. Look at what Pat Buchanan did to the Reform Party in 2000.

So don't kill them. Shoot them in the leg so they can't get away, then call the police.
