My Palm V is incredibly useful to me. I carry it in my pocket or on my belt *all* *the* *time*. If you don't do that, you probably won't really use it. The only thing that really needs improvement is the speaker sound that is way too weak
Current stats: 600 addresses, 115 date book items (I purge the old ones from time to time), an encrypted database with erm... encrypted stuff, my expenses, memo's on everything I need to remember: ip-addresses, technical documentation, shopping lists, movies I want to see, stuff I've loaned, stuff I've borrowed, lists, lists, lists...
I used make a todo list every day on paper and it was a pain to carry over the old stuff every day. I got a Palm as soon as they became avaible (1996?) and never looked back!
I must admit that a number of my friends bought one and do not really use it, but that's mainly because they don't carry it, or because they don't have a lot of stuff to keep track off.
I use Palm Desktop not Outlook, so syncing is a breeze.
I find it incredible how overwhelmingly negative the reactions of the Slashdot crowd are regarding this product.
Sure, the Segway HT has been hyped. Duh. Take a dictionary and look up the word "Marketing". This doesn't make it a bad product.
I can't wait to try one. I expect it to be like the Palmpilot and the original Macs: if you try them, most people "feel" that this is not your average new gadget. Ofcourse I could be wrong.
Yes, but not all of us are living in the States and it will surely upset the local and international RIAA equivalents like IFPI ("Representing the Recording Industry Worldwide").
Funny how these days it's so "in" to not worry about Y2K. But until 1/1/2000 nobody knows what will or won't happen. So IMHO all this macho talk about "nothing's gonna happen" is exactly that: macho talk. FYI, our governments *are* preparing to deal with possible disasters or terrorist threats. They need the public to stay calm and not panic. And we're doing exactly what we're supposed to do. Coincidence?;-)
Then start over and have all my people work from home.

I suppose it also melts through bunkers and armoured vehicles?
For the price they can easily afford to put it on a DVD. :-)
IFPI, by the way, is affiliated with the RIAA.
A guide like this has existed for quite some time. Check out lanparty.com. It rocks!

You have good taste and are a gentleman. I salute you!
It has been named as one of the worst possible stocks to buy, together with TWA and a number of other loser stocks.
