And as far as I know, all that Afghanistan has for oil is a pipeline. Wouldn't there be about a dozen other countries wiser to invade in order to steal oil?

Which is much better training because you actually get a sense of death with the things, simulates human anatomy(from a gunshot wound perspective) surprisingly well, is comparatively cheap, and we're going to kill and eat the thing anyway? Oh wait, PETA would protest the military if we did that. God forbid PETA doesn't like the military. (We actually do this, we just don't advertise it anymore because of groups like PETA).

I've played all but 3 classes to 80, and done the endgame thing, and you know what I felt after this last patch? Even with different NPCs telling me to kill 10 different types of mobs, its still the same fucking game. I want a new decent MMO, and since for some reason blizzard are the only ones who make competent MMOs, I'm kind of stuck waiting for WoW2 or WoS, or WoD, or whatever it is they do next. Even though I'm sure there are at least 2 more expansions coming before this thing is over (we all know that level 100 is an inevitability.), I really hope that sometime early next year they announce a totally new MMO.

My father is a professor at a major university who for years has been listed as a "Alternative Fuels expert". He gets calls just about daily from whack-jobs who are positive they've invented some perpetual energy source and they just need some PHD to lend them the credibility to get funding. The vast majority of the people simply don't know what they are talking about, but a fun minority is downright insane, like the hobo who wandered into his office and explained to him where to find the aliens in the early 90s.
