thanks for posting that article. i'm recording an album right now, and have been considering what do with it.
there is a lot of appeal to be that "rock star", but chances are that even if you make it to that point, you may still end up dead fucking broke.
i think that doing the digital distribution myself will be the way to go. i may not sell 1 million copies of my album, and i may not ever go on a world tour.
and at the end of it all -- my music is still mine.
yeah, they're gonna be on this like stink on shit.
and bad reporting or not, accurate only 150m years or not, they're going to say that it's all bunk.
they're of the mind that if one thing can't be explained, it must all be crap. so, they're going to spin it as "totally inaccurate" as opposed to "only accurate to 150m years".
i like the idea of early voting, paper trails, etc., but you make a good point.
i live in a predominately republican state (georgia) and despite a little interference from the 23-percenters that would interfere to get mccain eleceted, they might vote the other way this time.
because people also don't want to be profiled for their electoral choices.
for all we know, we already are. in general, it is my understanding that many political activists are already being watched.
furthermore, i'm all for revoking a lot of these churches' tax exempt status. like Carlin said, "If these churches are so interested in politics; let them pay the same price of admission as everyone else."
having lived and worked with (and near) illegals from south of the border, i observed many of the same things.
many of them view cultural integration as betrayal, and refuse to do so. this is straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

it's just encouragement to them.
you nailed it. i was in a similar situation with charter.
it sucked. and to those who say, "you have a choice"...if it's $LocalMonopoly vs nothing, it's not a choice.
that's not my point, really.
it's just that some of these churches seem keen on getting involved in politics. and for those that do, they should lose their tax exempt status.
that's all i'm saying. i know they don't all do it, but some do.
*sigh*
i know, right? the line has been blurred.
this.

good call. i was reading about the early voting the other day -- i think i'll be doing that.
there can be only NONE!
true enough.
thread fucking over. LOL
i think they mean classifying it as a terrorist or hate group.
now, that's just mean.
challengers: they never appear.
damn my lack of mod points! +5 Funny
i don't disagree with you. in fact, your post states my exact contention with it. i prefer the starship troopers approach: "service means citizenship"

because your right to peaceful protest is more or less gone at this point. that's why. thank you for playing.

lucky being the operative word.
which is why i'm wondering what a couple of dudes in their basement are doing that the supposed top dogs the government hires cannot.
or maybe they're allowed to do what the government cannot?
