Starcraft, however, is practically worthless without a legitimate CD-key for Battle.net.
Not really worthless. I play it with some friends alot on LAN, all you need is a nice keycracker (the internet servers usually notices that this is not a legimit key and threw you out). And i play it alot at home too, kinda like to when i get home go a round of starcraft against the computer(s).
Either, they clicked all the boxes just for the fun of it. Or the university had some sort of custom install thingie for all it's users and it was included in there.
Isn't it since that the aluminum (*spelling*) in cans are not so good, it mixes with the beverage and leaves traces of not so healty minerals in it. I could be wrong about this though, but one thing i do know, sodas taste different if they are in a can or bottle.
hmm.. (e)si and (e)di you use for pointing to the virtual screen and to the texture i think. It was a while since i did it so i can't really remember but i think it was like that. Another thing was that as far as i remmeber is that esi/edi are not registers but instead psedo register:) many commands can not use them as arguments....
[...]there is even atleast one server which won't even allow you to chanop no matter what the server state.
I'm not on EFNet, i keep myself on IRCnet. But there are alot of restricted servers for me, ie those that i can connect to but i can't use any chanop commands. Which is kinda sucky. Not to mention how hard it is to find a working server for me sometimes, i got three i can use and they all die with regular intervalls.
Sure it might sound ugly, but i think it's nice that you know what is needed for it to run.../^K(.+)/ programs almost always needs KDE so then i know i can ignore them:)
There's one thing I miss a lot on x86 processors, though. I think it would be great to have at least a dozen more general purpose registers (though even 1 or 2 would be an improvement).
Yeah, i agree. I remember some years ago when i was trying to write my texture mapping rutine into asm.. having 4 general purpose registers is just not enough.. Sure there might be some more with MMX or similar extensions but i like to keep it clean:)
It was a decent script, but I fell victim to Star Wars sequel syndrome reading it... "It's good, but it's no (insert favorite movie of the series here)"
Nono, star wars sequel syndrome is... "Man this is shit but everyone who saw the first movies will see this one too, if for nothing else then to have something to compare other crappy movies to."
No it hasn't, IRC and icq and it's clones are used for different things, icq is for two people to talk, irc is for a number of people to talk at the same time. Mass messages on icq is just for pr0n ads i never pay much attention to them. And if irc is flooded with morons and idiots then you're in the wrong channels/servers.
I was under the impression that it was just 1). Since you really don't need a shell or gnu toolset (well, unless you actually wanna do something with your computer)
You know... most channels (atleast here in sweden) have a sort of discrete logo in one of the corners of the screen all the time. And i got no problem with it, as long as it isn't moving or flashing or something similar! *condemns vh1 to hell*
Same thing with harddrives, i don't mind if they make some small sounds when they are working, as long as it isn't unbearable. My computer fans makes a hell of a lot more noise then my harddrives anyway.
McGee is almost a god for me creating DM4, which imo is the only good deathmatch level that came with quake. (If he hadn't made DM2 he would have been a god:) )
It should be the other way around, ie you add a meta-tag to enable it. But guess Microsoft won't do that, since then no one would use it. Now everyone will use it and swear over it instead.

I didn't insult anyone, i just said the obvious. USA thinks the rest of the world is just a suburb, everyon wants to be just like them and if something happends in the US it will affect everyone everywhere.
Now that's more of an insult, but it's true.
I just like to say that i didn't complain about the dude that wrote the thingie, just the header on/.
You critize someone for saying that only US counts (the title is "Every BBS That Ever Was", not "Every BBS in the USA That Ever Was") and you're called a flame bait.... nice.
Just like Americans to not understand that there are other countries then their own. And all BBS aren't dead, there are some alive, i know since i use one regulary, albeit it's not really a BBS in the true sense since you don't call to it, you telnet.

Well, that's if you want to call this early. There are many prgramers who have picked up perl through web application programing etc. When they dive into their next project which happens to be in perl6, with diferent sintax in some cases, they will run into problems when editing and understanding the code.
Whenever you come into a project that has been running for a while, it takes while to get to know it all, you just don't sit down on the first day and start writing flawless new features or fixes. You have to understand how the code is built and designed. Same way with new languages, if you're a perl programmer and someone says "hey, could you do this, this, and that for us and we'll give you some paperpieces with dead presidents on 'em, oh btw it's in perl6", you will atleast sometime say "yeah". And go learn perl6. If you intend to work as a perl programmer you have to be able to, if not be overly fond of perl6, then to atleast know it if you're in the sittuation you have to use it. And for those that aren't in projects, no one is forcing you to use perl6, if you feel that perl5 is adequate for your needs, then use it.
And if you know perl5, i don't think it would be that much trouble to learn the differences in perl6, course we don't really know how big and how many they will be in the end...
I agree. Max Payne was really really fun to play.

lovely sig...
:)
it would be even more lovely if i know who she is... who is it?
I put my mouse pointer over a link, I see the URL in the status window. Are there browsers that don't do this or something?
You can turn it off in atleast one (Opera). I really don't either see the reason for this feature, i just think it's a tad bit confusing...

I dunno about the Danes, but we swedes recycle the cans too, and we get a little money for it too.

I did it on my workstation and that was bothersome enough :)

Lucky for me there are:

* move floppy to this
* reverse.
what, no xtris? what's the matter with you?

Konqueror does just that with cookies.
So does Opera.
