Turkey is a secular democratic republic, but someone on youtube insulted the founder of the republic and the site got blocked for two days. Censorship is legal, however, for such a progressive sounding government. Look up "turkey" and "article 301".
Christians have subjected themselves to bouts of iconoclasm in the past, the major one I'm guessing would be the Reformation. Its more the Hadith that outlaws the images however, than the Koran itself.
US citizens don't read that many books. We're not doing great, but we're not quite THAT bad yet. Reading certainly isn't a bad thing, but I doubt it would solve this problem.
Will this service continue after Yahoo is bought? Is it just something to cause their price to go up before they are bought by claiming more customers?
Talking about silly attacks, take a look at yours. Don't pigeonhole this guy into representing us atheists or I will start saying Fred Phelps represents you.
Get back to us when you hit 50. Me, I can stand 100 years with a wheelchair, though I'm not keen on being dependent on family. Took care of my grandmother gladly, but knowing the sacrifices I had to make for that, I wouldn't want someone to do it for me.

Best use for linux in my experience is the wireless "internet and email only" laptop. Only potential tripping point is which wireless card you decided on. Take my word for it however, I and my friends all became linux fans because that is all we use on our laptops, even if we use windows on our desktops for gaming.
Because you could sell your CDs at shows, whereas you couldn't with an online medium. Hawking CDs at a show, from what I've seen, is pretty lucrative and more successful than hawking a T-Shirt. Even if someone isn't a big fan of your band, but gave you a listen, they might be inclined to buy a CD out of a sense of owing you something or social decorum and give it to someone else.
Alright, I never played the game, but your telling me the story is better than ANY movie in the last 30 years? Empire Strikes Back, Pulp Fiction, Lord of the Rings, Taxi Driver, hell... Hotel Rwanda? I doubt that very much.
Or you could look at it from a practical standpoint: There are tons of people we would not have to cover in the baby boom, as well they'd be the most resistant to change.
My biggest problem with that is, it was amazing but the rest of the game wasn't as amazing, all the way to a lackluster end. It felt like they blew their load on the demo or something.

I knew it was cyberpunk and guessed it was Gibson, but I wasn't able to land it that well. Well played if you did it without a search.

Right, so when your friends do the same what happens? They call you, leave a message, you call them back, leave a message?
Right, I mean, look at the Adams.
Its not about the Zoo's fault, its about the guy not deserving to die. Maybe experience something he could recover from, but die?

Why, has the wife been expanding lately and you've lost interest in compression?

But then I can finally start getting paid to go vote.
Richard Stallman?

Thats what it does in Star Wars Galaxies. I know a few folks who hit that limit and rolled over, though I forget what the limit is.
It really is sad how much you don't get it. The human mind isn't so cut and dry by a long shot. Freakin' depressing.
Isn't it hypocritical to see this modded 5 Insightful on Slashdot?
Look at all the guys on our side who jumped on the bandwagon however.
Alright you can stay, just don't use the bathroom. You've lost those privileges.
