(mod this waaay off topic but...) this is exactly what is wrong with our litigious society. While I agree with trying to send a message to a company that they can't renig on published promise, this mentality is the same that fills the pockets of personal injury lawyers. Ughck.
I wouldn't be giving up those rights. Again, there is nothing preventing me from "opting-in" if you will, to purchase a video game for my kid. The law doesn't say they cannot PLAY the games, but they cannot PURCHASE them. That, is seems, is a fundamental distinction that is lost on most slashdotters.
3) If my child is mature enough to play an excessively violent video game, it is my decision as a parent to make. So why not make video games like movies, TV and magazines?
Exactly! There is nothing in any of these bills that prevents a parent from purchasing a violent video game for their child. I wasn't able to stroll in the the Cineplex when I was 15 and watch an R-rated movie, but I sure as heck could go with my parents.
I can't imagine not taking the time (minutes to hours) to require a real password for a service or application. cracklib goes a long way. My god, just make the default something like the middle 6 digits of their social security number (or other less conspicuous data which the school has recorded); sure, you can find a SSN, but in general you have to at least look for it.
This states that its USB 1.0 which certainly doesn't have sufficient throughput for transfer of this size of files. I can only imagine (because the spec sheet doesn't SPECifify) that the Dish DVR 921 (HDTV DVR) has a USB 2 port on the front.
I wonder if only a software upgrade will be needed for my DVR.
Amen! I had a DSCP31 and they "tried" a new battery design - which failed miserably. There were 1000s of reports on forums online that other people were having the same problem and Sony only would look at it for the standard $125.00 repair fee.
I gave them one other chance with a CD-player (of all things) and that also stopped reading discs in a short amount of time.
Seriously, have you tried to "notepad" (yes its a verb too!) a UML diagram? Visio, SmartDraw, etc are all great diagramming tools but its so much faster to pencil (or sharpie) your own version -- with squiggly arrow and all!
Again, its a case of the right tool for job, for the right person. Notepad is great. I spend most of my design-time on a legal pad with a Dr. Grip in hand.
Have any of you ever actually CALLED netsol? The fact that you can get someone on the phone alone should be more than enough to beat customer service of other companies, let alone, getting someone in the US and a live person at that. I've always had quick responses and pleasant people on the phone the handful of times I've called.
and FYI: no registrar can hold the domain until after the expiration date. That, after the tranfer is authorized, is completely up to the registry (5-7 days verisign allows for.com/net tranfers). Any other wait is dictated by the amount of time that the gaining registrar allows for the tranfer to be authorized. So netsol has nothing (or VERY little) to do with delays in transfers away from them. I've been waiting a week for a tranfer from dotster TO netsol; and that timeframe is made by verisign.

My robot overlord has calculated the hilarity of the above comment and rated it an 11!

I demand that King Neferspamstu cease and desist using my modeling photos for financial gain. I do not waive my rights under the DMCA.

Well this then answers what was meant by my 522 spec sheet:s html)

I even drafted this reply on my post-it note!

I'd like to see where unbridled greed is in his codified list of ethics!
I think you can get it now for $92/mo.
