Some (non-military) agencies (mine) of the US govt are set to roll out Vista by October this year. We get _discounts_ for adopting early. Translation: the money we save on licensing is half of what we spend toubleshooting.
Yes it is. My problem is that I'd much prefer to pay my favorite artist a whopping $100 to see their show rather than line the pockets of ticketma$ter.
This is so NOT a good thing. First, I don't want comcast to be storing my shows. I cannot imagine the cable companies will ever NOT impose more strict usage guidelines upon me... because they can.
Second, I've never modded my DVR, I've never even made copies from my DVR or TV to a computer. 95% of the time my usage of the DVR is using the "WTF did they just say button" and the article,
Cablevision argues nothing will be recorded on its network unless the viewer orders it from the remote control--an important difference from other failed experiments.
implies that I might lose that functionality.
NO to more restrictive usage and NO to it not working as well and HELL NO to paying more for it.
It's possible to configure Optimus mini to display additional functions with modifier keys (Ctrl, Alt, Shift) pressed and held on a "regular" keyboard. So instead of three screens, the user will in fact have an infinite number of them./quote?
I still have 3 screens! That's some great logic. It does seem a bit steep ($100), but I really like the idea. It may be more useful with something like a dozen keys. I'd bet the $100 tag on these is to help get the full sized Optimus to market.
WHY on earth is the layout alphabetical? This looks to me like they really didn't think it out enough. "Well we've got less keys, how should we lay them out?" "In alphabetical order, with the first half on the left... so they're easy to find."
Easy to find had nothing to do with keyboarding/typing. The initial learning period of the layout is so small compared to the amount of time later typing w/o looking.

byte b = -1; char c = (char)b; so c=-1, right? Wrong. Places like this are things that you could potentially knock your head against the wall trying to figure out why something doesn't do what it appears to do. (In this case, byte is signed, char isn't, and the widening cast fills in bits, leaving c=65535.)
I, too, have a FX5200 under linux and it has treated me quite well for the price. I'm not running Doom3, but 2D is a flash, and I can play quake3-series and its mods, NFSU, GTA series with (almost) all the goodies turned on.
and the fluxbox users with just sit back and arrogantly smirk at both kde and gnomers?

appropos typo?
I'll send you a jump to conclusions mat.
It _could_ be that the electricity is exciting the nerves and, in turn, they are sending signals(by sound)...causing loss of motor control.

Yes, much like Spector's proposed bill.
It's simple: if they weigh the same as a duck, they must be a terrorist!
yes Khaled is rich now, from all 20 people who registered mIRC. I think I was #19.

Yes. They're called slashdotters; bringing unsuspecting websites to their knees daily.
OT: But we should be!
They make millions from the ads.

Well THERE'S your problem!
Programming is not garbage any more than, say, FOX. But then again, I am a fan of all the Bruckheimer shows.
I hope you informed them why you switched. Switching is good, but letting them know why compounds the effect.
Fantastic! I can find useless boring personal pages in a jiffy!
Drop Dialup -15ish
Pay $50/mo for cable modem, +50

I believe there is prior art on this, at least the ones that go to 11!
