FTFA: A volunteer signing up for a one-way mission to Mars would do so in the full understanding that he or she would not return to Earth. Nevertheless, informal surveys conducted after lectures and conference presentations on our proposal, have repeatedly shown that many people are willing to volunteer for a one-way mission, both for reasons of scientific curiosity and in a spirit of adventure and human destiny.

Hey no need to insult sideshow performers regardless of your feelings about being associated with them in your mind by the term 'Geek'. I get the impression that you don't appreciate the hard work and training required for their profession
Lois: Oh, my God! You can only play the piano when you're drunk! Peter: Now that's not true! I can also vomit, fall down and make dirty calls to your sister when I'm drunk!
A teenager? Aching for attention? Isn't that their normal state of being? (just kidding)
Still, I think "pretending" to text and get phone calls all day is more of an indication of an aching for attention.
But even if I'm wrong, who's to say that most of the popular people aren't popular because they know how to successfully garner positive attention, basking in the warm glow of the envy of their peers.
First off, he wasn't threatened with a screwdriver, and he never claimed to have been. Were they threatening? Yes. Where they threatening him with sharpened screwdrivers? No.
Secondly he wasn't permanently injured in any way.
But in the end, nothing strikes you as wrong with emptying a gun in a loaded subway car? Or firing on an unarmed threat when just showing the gun could have prevented any confrontation? Or fleeing the scene and trying to dispose of the evidence of his "heroic" deed?
Bernie was lucky he didn't injure or kill someone else completely uninvolved.
But more than all of that, your quote says it the best. Roving groups of Guardian Angels never made me feel safe, because I agree with you in that groups of people are dumb, stupid and panicky.
Dogs are great, especially if they bark a lot because annoyed neighbors tend to ignore them. This is something you can usually find out when staking out the house. Also the false sense of security means they are less likely to have other security measures in place.
My favorite moment in "It Takes a Thief" is when they actually steal the dog as well.
Oh man, I remember doing the Train on 00-Agent. Memorizing the different possible setups of guys and the order of shooting and moving. Trying to head shot the General to add those extra seconds to the bomb clock was always the worst for me...that and Natasha getting hit by the backwash of the explosion.
You do have a point, no tact, but a point. You're right, that if you aren't good at a game and are playing online against others, you shouldn't gripe and complain when you lose.
However the point of others is that they wish that video games had rules of conduct for participants like every organized sport and most organized non-video games. The reason for these rules in real world sports and games is to ensure the enjoyment of everyone who plays the game. It isn't something that you can really implement in a video game setting however.
Of course none of this addresses the fact that video games really are insanely easy today, though I guess I could see why that's a good thing as well as a bad thing.
Well, because 40k gross income for a 2 income household over a year would indicate an approximate hourly wage for each adult at around $9.50 an hour.
Of course I find your tax work impressive, since I make under 30k as a single childless individual and I pay out close to 10k a year in federal taxes, of course that includes SS and Medicare Maybe there are deductions and credits I'm unaware of but in ten years I've never received more back than I pay, or even close.
So all your kids, their spouses and their friends all earn less than $9.50 an hour, have two kids and aren't living from paycheck to paycheck? Impressive budgeting.
Why? Because without some method to keep the masses happy, then the superwealthy will end up like the French Nobility after their revolution.
The mob must be appeased.

My definition coincides with the roll-over text.
Case rested. I agreed, just trying to fill in your argument for ya.
*drive by argument*
I disagree!

Then based on your logic, I guess this means that parenting is getting better over the years.

To be fair, brewers used to gun down people in Chicago.

I don't know what you're talking about...sex and drugs/alcohol have always been the activities of the popular crowd.

I think people just don't want another Bernhard Goetz on their hands.

Well, according to the FBI, of the 13,242 murders last year, only 66.6% were cleared. So it's a bit of a gamble, but not out of the question.
To be insane in an insane world and all that jazz...
*laughs* Yes, your self worth is top notch. Of course you don't get your self worth from me. It's why you came back to this after 7 days.
I meant you should elucidate your meaning, not obfuscate it.
Or are you just attempting to validate your own self worth through attempts at impugning upon mine?
Perhaps I was mistaken in attempting to have a discussion based in reason.

Thanks for bringing back good memories. ^_^
What inadequacies are you speaking of? Please, elucidate.
