Also, I've always assumed (but never received a straight answer :) that the 8085/6/8 speeds had to be haved to compare them to the 8080. The 8080 has a two phase clock (two pulses per cycle), while the next Intel generation were single phase.

People play there trying to win; people come here (typically) knowing how much they will lose (with a hope to beat the odds). They get off the plane or climb out of the car, and for however many days, they're in a fantasy world.

The best example may be the guys that would never step foot in a bimbo joint, but that take their wives to a "topless revue"--and she enjoys it! Look at the lines for those--they're generally not a bunch of guys, but primarily couples.

For vegas, gambling is a major part of the shtick, but it's just a part of the alternate world of the fantasy.

    2) Asymmetric RAID. While I haven't done the math (maybe I should do it and publish it, but then someone would expect the algorithm from me, too :), with four drives it should be possible to form an asymmetric raid. Disk Basic

In the early 16 bits, IBM had extended basic in ROM, and BASICA on floppy extended this to disk basic.

MS-DOS, not being able to rely on having those IBM ROMs (disk basic usually relied on extended basic being in ROM and extending it, rather than replacing it) has GW-BASIC ("Gee-Whiz BASIC"), which was the same thing (but for machine dependent variations).

Anyway, BASICA and GWBASIC, though on 16 bit machines, were for most purposes, MBASIC 5.0 from the 8 bit machines.
