I actually think the ceramic white PS2 looks damn cool. I might buy one if it was available in the US. As it stands, I will stick with my Cube and XBox.
I always felt like the sidewinder joystick was made specifically for the MechWarrior series. Its capabilities fit so well with they gameplay in the series. I haven't bought a new joystick since the original Sidewinder, and I only use it when I decide to play my old school MechWarrior games.
there were a few years were I couldn't for the life of me remember how to sign certain letters. I just never used them enough. But when I relized I had forgotten, I was like, "holy shit, I am the fucking retards who don't know how to write properly."
Then I finished my beer and felt better know I was "That Guy".
I believe that was GM's idea. They are developing a skateboard style bottom that encompases all the major components of the car(ie. motors at each wheel, electrical supply, computers, etc.). Then you buy the tops from the dealer as you see fit.
It is a neat idea, but they still have to make it pass safety regulations. Some of their tops call for windows from the floot to the ceiling. I question how they will get that to pass safety tests.
I always thought the War of 1812 was the US thinking it could take advantage of Britain concentrating on its holdings in India. To me it was the first in a series of US attempts at colonialism.
This is probably the only intelligent merger idea I have seen on this thread. I have been thinking the same thing since Sega discontinued the Dreamcast. Unfortunately, I don't think a merger between the two is very financially sound. Nintendo may be going the way of Sega, in that they have a system that is struggling to make money. But it is nice to dream.
Yes, if the part of their brain that controls hearing still functioned. Then they would in fact be able to hear what they see. Atleast that is my understanding of the matter.
Yep, my american education coming through loud and clear on that one. I simply forgot to preview my reply. I noticed the mistake, but unfortunately I could not edit the post to correct it.
Thanks for the AC grammar check though. I just don't know what I would have done without it.
That would be impossible. The person with this disorder can still hear, but their brain is wired so that the impulses from your hearing receptors go to your optic part of the brain. Their for they are interpreted as colors. A deaf person would not be able to hear, so would not be able to transmit the impulses for them to see the concert.
Although, being able to "see" a concert would be quite interesting. Probably not unlike tripping on acid.
I was really only refering to the Performance differences between the AMD 3000+ vs Intel P4 3.06GHz. These processors are about the same price, and like I said perform similarly. P4 wins some, Athlon wins some. I wasn't bashing anyone, let alone a lowly processor.
Your right lower priced Athlon's cost less and perform better than comparable priced intel alternatives. Unfortunately at the top of the line, there is no real price difference in processors. And in reality there isn't much of a performance difference, overall. But in terms of individual tests, P4's excell in some areas while Athlons excell in others. Why do you need to jump down my throat over it. Blame Intel and AMD for building their processors so differently.

well, if I was even half as smart as most/.'ers I would have quoted the original artical in my post. I was merely responding to the statement about overclocking, which by the way I have no interest in doing. My view on overclocking is similar to yours: whats the point?
Me too. I get so annoyed when I read stories about the "launch" of a new processor or graphics card, only to find myself holding mr happy for 2 months while I wait for the damned thing to actually show up in stores. Companies shouldn't be allowed to say something is "launched" or for sale unless it is actually in the stores. Not while some OEM is getting test samples.
I would think that it isn't going to do much more than extend the Athlon's lead in some areas(business content) and close an already large gap in others(multimedia) between the P4.
But it is nice to see that AMD moved the Athlon to the 400MHz bus. Now hopefully they will give the Athlon64 the same support, along with a dual-channel memory controller like in the Opteron.
Unless they shrunk the Athlon core, I don't see a lot fo room for overclocking. The 3000+ isn't an overclocking dream, so simply moving to a faster bus ain't gonna make the 3200+ any better.
have you seen any stories on the newest generations idea of writing? It involves shit like 'u b 2 kewl 4 skool'. I am ashamed that any of this type "writing" goes on. And, yes I know it derives from text messaging, but for the love of god, why does it need to go beyond that?
I am all for lazyness, but I am dreading the day todays H.S. students begin running the world. GWBush will look like a freaking genius.
I am wondering how many Iraqi's are of a subjective mind when it comes to the US showing them good forms of government. I mean, whats to say we give them a democracy and some Islamic Cleric comes to power and says that God thinks a theocracy is the best institution and we are left with another Iran. Even if we give them control to pick their own government they could end up picking another oppressive one. I am not saying that we should continue control over Iraqi, simply that I question their ability to choose their own fate.
Ah, I have never really gotten into that whole DVD-R/RW/+R/+RW/RAM or CD-R/RW craze. Me, I just watch movies and play games on my confuzor. So all I need is a DVD drive. Slot loading isn't all that great, but it is nice to have the option there for you.
You miss an even bigger point, sound quality is subjective. Everyone hears the same note a little differently. So a Bose system may sound good to Joe Americana, while Mike Audiophile thinks the sounds is shitty.
I worked in a store that sold all kinds of speakers, still work there in fact. It took me about a month to be able to tell the difference in sound quality between some of the higher end equipment. Only after listening to the same music over and over did I begin to notice subtle differences. Lots of times it just sounded like volume differences. A lot of people are the same way; they can't tell the difference in the way a Bose system sounds compared to Klipsch or Polk or B&W or B&O or anyone else.
those were merely a few examples. Not the only ones though. Of course Israel is part of the west, but America is more involved with Iraq.
As for expansionist, that isn't what is said at all. More accurately it is a statement that america has been more aggressive in its meddling in foreign affairs. Infering anything more than that is to use information from outside the post.

I only wish I could wear sandals to work. Shoes fucking suck. All they do is make my feet uncomfortable. My toes need to feel fresh air around them.

Not war, we must liberate those poor saps working there. They don't know what evils their bosses have planned for the outside world.

I was certainly expecting more out of the design. But slot loading dvd isn't too bad.

Definitely wouldn't see many assaults on Robo-Ref!

man, I tried but couldn't think af a good reason for why he would say it ain't colonization. Thankfully you came through in the clutch.
