Oh yes, the only explanation must involve those evil corporations, not some over-reaching government entity full of do-gooders and tree-huggers. Those people never make stupid policies or punish the common citizens.
But private citizens can be journalists too. That's what the bloggers keep saying. So this rule could apply to anyone who posts an illicit video on their facebook page. Especially if that person is criticizing the government, or the Forest Service in particular.
To get rid of the scary radioactive stuff we need more nuclear reactors, not fewer. We just need the right kind of reactors.
I'm curious about what kind of nuclear reactors are in our naval fleet. They are obviously small and self contained, other than cooling. Would it be possible for that type of nuclear reactor to be used for anything besides a multimillion-dollar warship?
If you can walk along a 5 inch curb without falling off, you can walk along a 100 foot cliff without falling off. Provided the footing and wind don't work against you.
The point is that people attach so much fear to falling, they can't operate. They can't walk straight because their mind is worried about falling.
When I am in a situation where falling means severe injury or death, I don't worry about falling. I do what I have to do, although with safety as required. I don't go dancing along the edge of a cliff, for example. But I will walk up to it and look over. Not that I've been near a cliff lately. I am in Florida at the moment.
I've been up in bucket and platform lifts to install network cabling, and had to climb out onto rafter beams or on top of structures. Not being afraid of falling means I can do it safely. Being afraid of falling causes people to make all kinds of mistakes. They are too tense to work safely. They don't have situational awareness because they cannot look around.
The mentality really does boil down to that distinction. It isn't the fall that kills you. Therefore, I'm not afraid of falling. I can do the job that's needed without freezing in panic at the thought of slipping.
Although I don't think Bush 43 was a sock puppet, I didn't touch on that at all. Nothing I would say will convince anyone to change their mind either way. Such is the nature of this topic.
And of course every president's actions have long lasting consequences. There are people who blame current air travel delays on Reagan's firing the air traffic controllers, and that was 30 years ago. Others blame the housing bubble/collapse on Carter.
While Cheney may have a full vault, you did ask for another vice-president that was making as much noise as he is. You can't get bigger than a full length film, with a TV channel to top it off.
But at least we do agree on former leaders keeping their thoughts to themselves after leaving office. My high school history teacher gave us that outlook, back in the late 80s. Basically, he was surprised that Carter was making public statements about how Reagan and Bush 41 "should be doing things". Even though my teacher was a liberal/democrat, he explained that that behavior was quite unusual, to the point of impropriety.
That's the line I use to explain to people why I'm not afraid of heights. Specifically, I'm not worried about falling. Off a ledge, out of a high tree, over a cliff, and so on.
Most don't understand the usefulness of that outlook.
One of the funny things about that: When I was in the military back in the 90s, my roommate wasn't a US citizen. He was from Latin America, and his family came to the US when he was a child.
I forget if they were from Belize or Guyana, but both countries has English as their official language. So he spoke English like "an American", no broken spanglish or heavy accent.
And to top it off, he was Muslim, with the last name of Khan.
The comment was about George W. Bush. He was President. Since leaving that office, he has pretty much kept his mouth shut on the affairs of the current administration.
That is how former presidents should act. And former vice-presidents as well, unless they are hoping to get on the next ballot.
I wish Cheney would shut up and fade away. But in this new 24-hour news culture, he fills a time slot, and has the beloved 'insider information' that news people drool over.
But, hey, at least he didn't make a propaganda movie to kick off a fund raising campaign to fill his vault/swimming pool with gold coins. He left that spectacle to Al "McDuck" Gore.
Really? That's the one word you had problems with? All the mangled sentences are perfectly fine, but he uses one non-standard (by your reckoning) word, and his whole rambling post is to be ignored?
Other than Carter, and lately Clinton, former presidents never made comments on policies after they left office. They had their time calling the shots, and now it's someone else's turn. W is doing what we should expect from people who are no longer in charge. He's keeping his mouth shut and letting the current team run the show.
If the logging and paper companies owned the Forestry Service, there wouldn't be a forest left to serve.
I don't care which part of "the light bulb" fails. When it doesn't light up, the entire thing needs to be replaced.
Monkey see, monkey do. China and India are definitely the JV of space.
Great! Are they going to start beheading Martians now?

Did TWX claim it should be the buyer's responsibility to do that work? I read it as his friend could have avoided the fiasco with a little planning.
Finally someone hits the nail on the head. Men ask for a raise, even demand one, far more often than women do.
I speculated about that argument a couple years back on another forum, and the other guy challanged the premise.
I googled back then and found a study that confirmed it. I don't have the link now. But here's an article that discusses it.

You were a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory. But finally, you decided to cut your hair and rejoin corporate america as a pharmaceutical salesman.

:^D
God willing, he will be.
If she's giving you oral sex, the hubby could claim a twofer.
Especially if you have one of those fidgety types that run from everything.
That robot will be so confused.
"I swear it was around here somewhere. Not it is way over to the left."
Screw you. I thought it was funny.
In addition to all the above, how does "a photograph" show fluttering?
I don't see a warning about this, so am I still good to shoot my girlfriend through the bathroom door while on drugs?

That is so weird. My mom uses the same test.

Too late. Zuckerberg already has his billions. Nothing you can do will make him not "in power"
Tell that to Steve Jobs.
I can't because he died.
