Actually it just means it comes down to the integrity of the people involved for the most part. And as for planting dna evidence at a crime scene well damn you don't need much access to the person you are trying to frame in order to get enough DNA anyway.
No it means that instead of me paying to scrap 200PC's according to Gubment regs I can give the equipment to the needy of another country for free where they will be very much appreciated even though if we are getting rid of them then they are sh1t as we got them as re-ferbs in the 1st place and kept them for 5 years.
Haven't seen it yet and aside from the thread originator don't know anyone who has. Going to wait for more informed comment which I'm sure this being slashdot I'll get lots and lots and lots of.
In the HD but some of us would like to retain a usable HD after the job is done as donating the PC's to the 3rd world is much nicer and cheaper than trying to conform with all the Gubment regs for recycling/scrapping them. Now obviously DBAN will work but what about degaussing will that screw up the pcb? Are there any other easy options that won't take ages to run?
DS9 only got good when they hired 1/2 the creative people off of B5 because fox said (You guessed it) B5 is cancelled. Amazingly they recanted which is why the last season of B5 was crap they had lost 1/2 their talent and squeezed the last 2 years of story arc into season 4 to finish the series. Damn you FOX!!!
I keep hearing on this site how no media content is completely novel, and the best content is that which builds on pre-existing ideas. The BSG re-imagining is an excellent practical example of this.
AbsoFragginglutely damn it the original BSG was a re-imagining of Wagon Train which in turn was inspired by any number of Westerns. I suspect we could probably trace it all the way back to Chaucer and The Canterbury Tales but then who did he nick the idea off?
Then is cost the main sticking point? I mean if you are worried about outside contractors stealing your IP what about your staff? Not just from a perspective that your staff may steal your IP but what about the numpty who has his password set the same as his user ID or blank, who reads every email the spam filters don't catch and opens every attachment because my bet is his PC is already owned and your IP is easily viewable to various forms of MAFIA. Sorry if I'm going a little over the top but if you are worried about trusting an outsourcer get them to sign an NDA.
Surely you were supposed to say "1st Post" but anyway this is definitely not a good advert for the universities in question or are they doing it to highlight the inherent discrimination in the system?
If you read the Wiki page on Sioux City flight 232 you'll see that the issue has occurred several times with the crew finding the same solution each time. However on only one occasion has a plane suffered the same catastrophic failure and landed successfully which was the 2003 DHL A320 that lost all hydrolics when it was struck by a misile shortly after taking off from Baghdad Airport.
Is there a country in the World that has an ID card system that can't be forged/cloned??? Although I object to the idea of a national ID card what has me really worried is the amount of info they are talking about putting on it. I don't really want my entire medical history + NI number stored on a chip that can be hacked from 20 feetaway If you think ID theft is bad now just wait until these things come out.
2- Or by a company that has UI know-how, enough money and savvy to build a triple-A network and a willingness to lose money to gain a foothold on the market. (IE: Microsoft)
I'd find the white text on a blue background very off-putting.
Tell that to Geordano Bruno http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giordano_Bruno and all the others who were burnt at the stake for heresy. Of course the stupid thing is that the real heretics were those at the conclave of nicea who decided to amend the bible to fit around the classical Aristotelian view of the world. Had they not gone down that path we may well have had the renaissance 500 years earlier.
If they are saying they don't do refunds write to companies house and ask them to intercede they can force a company to cease trading whilst their investigation is going on. Oh and this kind of thing is Companies House's job anyway.
I agree it's irresponsible to/. something like this. Everyone is banging on about how this guy should have atleast informed his colleagues he'd be gone for X weeks. What if he couldn't? What if he's a John Doe lying somewhere in a comma or worse with a tag on his toe. Basically we don't know where he is or what's happened to him and/. is the wrong place to be speculating about it.
Hmmm water based car's out date the petrol engine did you forget about steam?
but the prime constituent of the soya bean got their 1st. Just one small fart for man one giant harumph for mankind

That's why I'm running low on coasters AOL stopped sending them out in 2006 :)

Of course they will but so will google http://satwaves.com/blog/2009/08/03/apple-and-att-facing-potential-antitrust-suit-over-rejected-iphone-apps/ at the end of the day apple is ripe for facing an antitrust case on this issue.
