    And for the gun part Hey ever wonderd why some wako 16 year old in europe goes to school with a couple of guns and blows his class apart ? Its not because we dont play Quake, its because we dont have guns in all our houses !

    oops i made an uh-oh
    What was going to say that I as an expirianced user find it also anoying that the user name and password are not on the same "screen"
    the bad passwd message is a good idee but they should make it a configurable option (or atleast no pop up just a message in the login box)
    As for some of the other points made like the home icon on nautilus (and no i did not read the complete article the site seems to be ./ ed ) the sounded verry normal for ppl new to a gui or OS, remember windows users think home is there home page and "my documents" is their home
    So in conclusion i think we should be carefull not to read to much in to this data, i for one dont like the idee of /my documents/username :)

    Their site seems to be full of pr talk, and lets face it the linux comunity is not know for their love of PR talk
    but the folowing statement cracked me up :

    Antartica and Auzy land would not work well to launh because ,
    A) All current launch sites are as close as posible to the equator
    (where the rotation speed of the earth is greatest (can't remember figures but it takes a lot less energy to launch from the equatorthan from the poles )
    B) i dont think launching nuclear rockets from the artic is alowd by the international treaty

    After i overclock my car, i can frag that trucker who cut me off !

    No realy, spending a lot of time stationary in trafic jams (+30 mins a day ) this is nice,
    sending a few mails from the trafic jam, checking where the speedtraps are, ircing already like the idee
    building a beowulf in the trafic jam
    sorry could not resist

    I love that book, it was the only thing that got me thru the flight from hell (ATL->JFK (4h lay over 2h delay -> 6h of crying children -> BXL)

    yes it can be done, in the company i used to work they constantly used access & VB as a frontend
    and postgres as a backend odbc source the main drawback is speed, since ODBC is slower than natively talking to a DB

    The internet is suposed free so where do you get off telling us what to use it for and what not to use it for ?
    Maybe the tool can be used for usefull things
    And where is the line, are things like Quake, irc ... usefull/business critical ?

    in a belguim newspaper, recording industry rep said that thursday (15 feb) their new "search engine"
    was going on line that would allow them to "find" all the ip adresses of ppl useing napster or simular software,
    and they already had a list of 100 legaly intresting ppl, who they would turnover to the police

    maybe in .be we should make randomdata files and name them "br174ny sp34r5.mp3" send them back an forth
    over napster and watch the cops arrest you for sharing random data

    Cause the FreeBSD dhcp client stoped working since my ISP "upgraded" their dhcp server
    and nothing i tried worked
    thats the only reason i switched back to Linux

    is that bad ? no, they put alot of monney in kde and kernel devel. and you know why ?
    its not cause the are friendly ppl who like KDE and linux, well maybe a bit,
    but mostly cause improving linux == improving their own product
    !/rant

    so i think suse is a great product and that they can do with their profit whatever they want
