I'm forced to at work and it's exceedingly irritating. The "Toys-r-us" menus are a bloody pain in the arse. Nothing is where it used to be, you spend more time looking for 'how to do stuff', than actually doing stuff. Bah.
ANYTHING would be a suitable replacement for Outlook IMHO.
Orofice 2007 is just bloody awful compared to OO. Word cannot open PDFs, it just shows garbage. We know about Excel. I'm not a sales droid so never use Powerpoint.
Pity my employers have more money than sense, I'm now using Fista & Orofice 2007 & I absolutely hate it. Linux/OO would be the better (usability) choice & cheaper. Stupid thing is that all we do/support at work is Linux or IOS, yet we have to use windoze/Exchange/AD because the admins know nothing else. I ask you.
I've had no problems with either (dual boot Ubuntu/XP) not a single crash, haven't heard of any from the people I've converted. Mostly windoze, but a few Ubuntu users too:-)
I have a collection of, probably, 1200 CD's. 95% bought from music shops, some from boot-sales, flea-markets etc. NONE, & I repeat none are newer that 2004. You see I stopped buying!. {see the full stop?} after the record companies' agents started calling their customers "criminals".
I still have a considerably large vinyl collection, + a shed-load of commercial (not copied) tapes (mostly dupes of the vinyl - for playing in the car) even though I now don't have a functioning record player.
I looked this evening & for e.g. I have Bat out of Hell on vinyl, tape & CD - bloody three times!!
But if I fire up a p2p client - I'm a criminal. WTF?
Unfortunately the US doesn't have a monopoly on corrupt politicians, Europe also has those, and they are also prepared to trouser great wedges to table these sorts of stupid proposals.
The cocaine & whores budget of the "MAFIAA" & their related European cousins, easily stretches to a few corrupt politicians.
