I welcome the day the "Department of Homeland Security" and "National Security Agency" are renamed "Department of Homeland Science" and "National Science Agency."
Oh well.
Interesting direction with the "ribbon" bar.
I must be in the minority, because looking at the one mock-up I'm looking forward to this change. I hardly use anything in the menu bar, and it looks far more minimalistic which I like. I'm reminded of Chrome as well, which isn't too bad.
I'm more concerned about certain add-ons though. Hmm.
I read "glass surface" and the friction episode of The Magic Schoolbus comes to mind.
Unfortunately, I don't think a real-life application of the complete lack of friction would help us all (or the children).
It's both.
"Cyberdyne Systems Series 800 Model 101 Version 2.4" is the full text that is shown on the HUD when Arnold is brought back online after Sarah and John derp around with his skull in Terminator 2.
I think this is honestly the first time I've seen someone else other than my friend who mentioned something off of the Division Bell. All other times I've read or heard someone talking about Pink Floyd, they only bring up the staple "Comfortably Numb" or "Hey You" from off The Wall, and DSotM in general. I've rarily come across any appreciation for their other albums, especially the Gilmour-era (Obscured by Clouds and Meddle is brilliant, but I personally hold Division Bell close).
What a great way to go OT and to dust off the soap-box temporarily.
You just need another partition formatted as primary/NTSF.
After you've installed 7, the dual-booting should take care of itself. I've just now gotten around to trying x64 Vista/7(Soon after Vista) myself.
MSFT is (apparently) showing signs of wanting to genuinely wanting to improve their OS (Windows 7 seems to be going in the right direction) and make amends for the mess Vista has caused with everyone, regardless of what is was *exactly*.
The point is, they're asking for another chance, and it'd only be fair if we gave them that chance.
(obviously it's no good if it ends up like abused-spouse syndrome, but I can swear some of us like the abuse:P).
It makes me wonder if MS intended the naming of the console to reflect the "entertainment" of continually passing your gorgebox back and forth, instead of the supposed games developed for it.
Hell, my Dreamcast still works perfectly after almost ten years of no replacement/repairs. I just still wish it didn't have to die off so soon. Hum.

Futuremark, at least...
Most likely a rhetorical question, but S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:SoC, Dead Space, Cryostasis, Half-Life, Morrowind, Max Payne 1+2,...
I have to ask: Why does she resemble Catherine Tate...?

I wouldn't be entirely sure of "nothing." At least TWC doubles as a mighty fine source of jazz if you're partial to that kind of music.

...Funny. I'm pretty sure I reread his original post over before making sure I replied and yet I still misunderstood it. My bad. I need more tea.
No offense, but I believe you meant "higher center of gravity" and not lower. It'd be shameful if they had a LCG and were going slower!

You live in Houston too?

Gary's Mod is in there. One of the first few mentioned, iirc.
Lots of birds would be disappointed with this advancement. They lose valuable perching area.
Insert obvious jokes referencing "The Waterboy" and "Idiocracy." ;)
AFK being...AFK then?
We just need a Sudden Death now...

Too busy with coverage about our all-important celeb overlords.
Make an image of it?
And as we all know, thoughtcrime is doubleplusungood!
