Yep, and you'll see SGI, Cray, et al, offering up-to-date Fortran compilers for their big iron.

Fortran was used a lot in the scientific and engineering fields. At work our SGI machines have current Fortran compilers on them. The code splits up to work across multiple CPUs quite well. Personally I don't think I've touched a stitch of Fortran since the CP/M card was installed in my old Apple ][+.

Your next best option is to find someone with the original 3 movies on laserdisc.

There are very good quality DVD-R ISOs of the original 3 ripped from laserdisc floating around the net. Nice to see Han shooting first.

My thinking, and I'm no Star Wars fanboy, is that you should watch Ep IV, V & VI then I, II & III as stand alone trilogies. Trying to make sense of what Lucas has done makes a mockery of IV-VI.

Nor I. Virtually all of the "Topple teh micro$of7!!!!1`11``" rants are from /. users. Except from the new converts who are in their "angry atheist" phase I rarely hear such things IRL.

I always tell people "use the right tool for the job" so they shouldn't feel dirty if they maintain a Windows box (or dual boot) to play games, etc.

If you legalize pot then first it will be the true needy, then the milderly needy, then just the "oh fuck I don't want to deal with work head aches"...

A good friend of the family had lymph cancer in the 70's. He would get violently ill and couldn't eat from the chemo so the doctor (Yeah the doc, here in Canada) told him to get some pot. He did and smoked it only when he was getting the chemo treatments. He made it through the cancer and hasn't touched pot since he had cancer. Still alive, I asked him to refresh my memory only a few months ago as I was just ~12 when it happened. So that's one example of it saving a man from horrible nausea and building his appetite. He's no abuser.

Me in my 20's on the other hand...

Legal drugs like tobacco kill ~350K people in the US and Canada alone every year. Not to mention booze. People want to get high, its been done for thousands of years.
