Fortran was used a lot in the scientific and engineering fields. At work our SGI machines have current Fortran compilers on them. The code splits up to work across multiple CPUs quite well. Personally I don't think I've touched a stitch of Fortran since the CP/M card was installed in my old Apple ][+.
Should I wait until this comes out, and then see the 6 in their intended order?
My thinking, and I'm no Star Wars fanboy, is that you should watch Ep IV, V & VI then I, II & III as stand alone trilogies. Trying to make sense of what Lucas has done makes a mockery of IV-VI.
Sorry, but where did you get this idea from? I don't recall Linus Torvalds, Richard Stallman or any of the other Open Source people ever talk about defeating Windows...
Nor I. Virtually all of the "Topple teh micro$of7!!!!1`11``" rants are from/. users. Except from the new converts who are in their "angry atheist" phase I rarely hear such things IRL.
I always tell people "use the right tool for the job" so they shouldn't feel dirty if they maintain a Windows box (or dual boot) to play games, etc.
I don't know about that, but he certainly is naive. I expect we'll see him on the news weighing 40 kg and behind bars in a Chinese re-education camp screaming "You can't do this, I'm an American!"
So basically your question is stating "I'm going to China and expect to
be able to break their laws as I was fortunate enough to be born in a more
free society."
Don't whine to the foreign media when you're jailed as a
subversive influence.
Actually by replacing IE they are pretty much ending the use of ActiveX over their network. Less 0wn3ed machines == less spam/zombies/what have you. It is proactive on their part.

If you legalize pot then first it will be the true needy, then the milderly needy, then just the "oh fuck I don't want to deal with work head aches"...
A good friend of the family had lymph cancer in the 70's. He would get violently ill and couldn't eat from the chemo so the doctor (Yeah the doc, here in Canada) told him to get some pot. He did and smoked it only when he was getting the chemo treatments. He made it through the cancer and hasn't touched pot since he had cancer. Still alive, I asked him to refresh my memory only a few months ago as I was just ~12 when it happened. So that's one example of it saving a man from horrible nausea and building his appetite. He's no abuser.
Me in my 20's on the other hand...
Legal drugs like tobacco kill ~350K people in the US and Canada alone every year. Not to mention booze. People want to get high, its been done for thousands of years.
To check out Fucked Company for the latest dot-bomb companies.
primarily to figure out mathematical and engineering calculations?
Yep, and you'll see SGI, Cray, et al, offering up-to-date Fortran compilers for their big iron.

Your next best option is to find someone with the original 3 movies on laserdisc.
There are very good quality DVD-R ISOs of the original 3 ripped from laserdisc floating around the net. Nice to see Han shooting first.

You don't want to be the only one left out, even if the toys suck.
I don't mind being the only one not using this. As a wise man once said "RSS is teh ghey." hee hee
They are using a viral marketing approach of spreading membership by invitations from existing members.
I wouldn't call that "viral", it's controlled growth very much like gmail. These people want inclusion, the membership is not being forced on them.
The damage has already been done, and they're just moving on to poison something else. http://www.aol.com/Me-Too.torrent ?
