I have all the animated ones here. You're bang on about the writing, it was good considering they had to lighten it up for the kids. The animation reminds me of the old Spiderman cartoons I watched in the 70's, crappy animation repeated over and over.
I bet it was between Star Trek (The Original Series) and Star Trek: TNG.
Actually there was a decent Star Trek animated series which ran in 1973-1974. It had a lot of the original actors doing the voices of their characters.
The galleries in question probably pay for dominance
That's what I think however I didn't see results from Corbis.com (BillG's stock photo company) in any results of searches that I did. And I did search for pretty generic stuff (ie: "ansel adams" who, I believe, Corbis owns the rights to)
Nothing like the term "cartoon" to once again give people inaccurate impressions of the entire anime world.
Maybe I don't "get" anime, but the only Japanese cartoon I found remotely interesting was Metropolis (Metoroporisu) other than that it's all been boring as hell to me.
It's nice eye candy but I really don't see how this will make a user more efficient as it seems to be distracting (just more ammo for those with ADD). I do find Windowmaker's multiple workspaces to be a great boon though but it's not XP.
Only with an Open Source zealot can he look a gift horse in the mouth, and after inspecting each and every gold cap, yell at the giver for not putting in platinum with extra dental service for life like he want
No, the giver of the horse would have a contract stipulating that the receiver could only run the horse in certain races at selected racetracks on specific dates. All decided at the discretion of the "gift giver".
...you know what they say about "military intelligence".
Private: Sir! I found this, it may be a clue. Should I
consult the field manual to cryptopgraphy? Sergeant:"Gur

paper] These are obviously the scribblings of a madman, Private. Get back to
your patrol!
Now Red Hat can play DC like the big boys! Bob Young: Thanks for meeting me for lunch, Congressman.
Congressman: My pleasure.
Bob Young: [passing envelope under table] Have you thought about
the silly bills the proprietary software people want passed?
Congressman: [counting cash] Yes, and frankly Mr. Young, I think
Open Sauce is the only way to go!
Bob Young: Source. Open Source.
Congressman: Gotcha.

UPN is broadcast.
Not in Canada. That's moot though, I don't have an antenna either.

It was a joke, I don't have cable so BT it is.
The 13th of May is my dad's 70th birthday. Do I have dinner with him or watch Enterprise. Decisions, decisions...
when I read "Standards as Optional" I thought this was a story about Microsoft.

Does looking "cool" really sway people that much?
It works for Apple, car companies, clothing manufacturers, et al ad nauseum. So... yes
There's no spyware installed at that link, at least I don't see anything.
A very interesting read. Thanks for the link.
Like these?
IBM could have used these guys against SCO and saved a fortune.

To each his own, though.
From the article (assuming you're like me in wondering what "fansubbing" is):

Why are you posting as an AC, Michael?

On most gamepads the buttons are directly under the thumbs. On a blackberry you have to extend and flex the thumbs quite a bit more.

Private
Sergeant
That could be due to those peroxide whitestrips they sell. Not sure if I'd want to have such a strong oxidiser in my mouth...

Why? That was all drilled into our heads during indoctrination at the re-education camp.
Bladerunner was based on a PKD short story called "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" not a full length book if memory serves.
Deep Throat. Oh wait,I'm not sure if that was a book...
FORTRAN is STILL used heavily for scientific computing
Yes, my mistake. In fact elsewhere in the comments I make reference to the Fortran compiler still in use on our SGI machines at work.
