    Bad Bad analogy. This isn't about borrowing data this is about Bing stealing results to pretend it is just as good as Google at aggregating data. This is more akin to someone saying they came up with the dewey decimal system and renaming it the bjourne decimal system and when caught, you say that Melvil Dewey is a hypocrite because he was borrowing all those books in the library.

    I don't understand why you think this.

    A company sells a product for as much profit as it can. If a company makes $1Billion a year on its products and pays 10% taxes they make 900 million.

    If you drop the tax to 0% then they make $1Billion.

    They do not reduce the cost of their goods by 10% so that they only make $900 million and they do not pay their employees more.

    Trickle down economics is a myth.

    If that is not the point you were trying to make please explain what these hidden taxes are

    I have two monitors on my work computer. One is 1680X1050 and is Standard Landscape the other is 1024X1280 ie a "regular" Monitor turned 90. This isn't a difficult concept to grasp unless you are a complete moron.

    At home I currently only have one monitor but if am reading a document or digital comic I turn the monitor sideways.

    The first thing you need to do to become more productive is to pull your head out of your ass.

    Yeah, and if the temperature in southern California dropped to -40C and dumped 2 feet of snow, California would be shut down for a week and the national guard would be called in.

    Where as in Edmonton, Alberta that's a regular Tuesday (in January).

    It's all a matter of perspective.

    If your on a ocean going vessel and your hit by a 30m rouge wave that's a minor incident.

    If on the other hand your riding your bike through the park and get hit by a 30m rouge wave You may drown and the event is going to make headlines the world over.

    We have tried all sorts of systems like Anarchy, Capitalism, Communism, Democracy, Dictatorship, Fascism, Feudalism, Monarchy, Theocracy, and Tyranny

    Why not try something else like a Demarchy.

    At the least it would make it harder for people to bitch about decisions made because it just might be them making the next big decision.

    What is the "Estimated Lifetime giving" ? All the other Philanthropists have a much smaller difference between estimated and given. The article says that the estimated is "*Based on public records and interviews with donors"

    So what I get from this is that there is a record of 3.5 billion given but when asked in a interview Bill said he has given away 28 billion. Yeah, sure Billy, and I gave 2 trillion to orphans last year.

    Also is that money from them personally or money they have raised thru the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation?

    I hate to be petty but it bugs me when a rich guy gets a bunch of kudos for giving away money that he could not possibly spend in his lifetime yet poor slobs who proportionally give a lot more aren't even recognized.

    23,000 errrors = CANCER
    15 Cigs X 23,000 = 345,000 cigs
    345,000 Cigs = Cancer
    Average life span ~67 years
    If you start smoking at 18 that's ~17,897 days till your dead anyway
    So you can have 19 Cigarettes a day.
    Hey cigarette companies I think I have a new marketing campaign for you. You just need to start selling packs of smokes with 19 Cigs in each.

    There seems to be a lot of concern about cell phones causing tumors. I'm just guessing here but wouldn't a cell phone jammer be outputting at a much higher wattage therefore causing more tumors in kid's?

    From the article The IVD sperm will not and cannot be used for fertility treatment. As well as being prohibited by UK law, the research team say fertilization of human eggs and implantation of embryos would hold no scientific merit for them as they want to study the process as a model for research.

    Talking about using this sperm for reproduction is a little Premature.

    I've heard that the failure rate on SSD's can be as high as 20%. As I am to lazy to google this or even RTFA I am wondering if this is true. If it is true then adoption rates are going to be very low and this technology may never takeoff before something new and better comes around. Of course even if it isn't true than there is still the perception by a lot of (Ignorant) people (like me) that there is a high failure rate so adoption will still be very slow

    [perceived] Bottom line SSDs don't work well so, let's just wait until something better comes along.

    Also doesn't one of the hardware manufactures (Samsung I think) have a patent on SSD so no one else can make the drives any way. Proprietary == Dead

    I went to http://www.microvision.com/ and it seemed to me to be a bunch of photo shopped pictures with promises of working with manufactures maybe, sometime in the future to make things kinda like the ones they were talking about. Vaporware.

    Using the portal gun in HL2 maps. Totally changes the game and you can get places you were never suppose to.

    You can also fall "through" the ground. Once after falling bellow the playing area I found a Large Orange cube, Weird.

    As a Canadian I just wanted to let you know that we have already "settled" our land and you can't have it.

    I really hope we don't warm up due to global warming as our climate is what keeps most of the idiots out.
