because if your device leaks and accidentally uses data they can charge you at $50/GB.
Huh? How can my device "leak" so that it get access to a service that my provider doesn't include in my plan? Surely it have to be the provider that is at fault if I accidentally were given access to data services, I cannot fathom how the customer can be held as responsible.
close to a fair price for the subsidy he got on his original phone.
The original phone was from 2008 and nothing in the article states that it ever were subsidized. His "new" phone was bought second hand and out of contract.

Obviously, if you get into a contract with AT&T from buying a subsidized phone, you have to have a data plan – I get that – that's the concession you make when you sign up for that 2 year contract. But, I bought mine second-hand, out of contract, turned off data, didn't use it and had no intention to in the future.
"Recently the company pulled a popular photo sharing application from its App Store called 500px citing the discovery of "pornographic images and material." Apple offered this statement:
The app was removed from the App Store for featuring pornographic images and material, a clear violation of our guidelines. We also received customer complaints about possible child pornography. We’ve asked the developer to put safeguards in place to prevent pornographic images and material in their app."
Apple is hardly unique in that they have different set of rules for different companies, I'd say that is pretty much the norm, it's just that with the app store it become much more visible than it normally does.
If they have an anti-porn policy and parental controls in place to be "family friendly" (who under 18 can enter into a cell phone contract in the first place again?), then they have responsibility if "anything dirty" gets through.
Iran wants to become the regional hegemon of the Middle East, and the US does not want a regional country being the regional hegemon of the Middle East.
Anything but fast for me, my 138 KB test file have been uploading at a whopping 0 B/s for the last 12m30s. Originally I started out with a 700MB file and had the same experience and thought that it might have been due to the size but apparently that was not the case.
IE = healthy competition? I can only presume that the author is a MS shill, alternatively is too young to remember all the anti-competitive moves made by Microsoft during most of Internet Explorers history.
Our media doesn't say shit like on the day Obama was born, there was a double rainbow over the White House and a cold shiver went down Chuck Norris' spine.
Stop being silly. Chuck Norris don't have cold shivers he give the media cold shivers
The different links you see here are links to material that have been on TPB's landing page. Links to material that the artists themselves have put up for anyone to download. Non-pirated enough for you?
If someone ripped off Libre Office and started selling copies for cash and violating the GPL, everyone on slashdot would be going apeshit over it./quote
Not at all, most of us here would probably chuckle at the people that paid for what they legally can get for free.
I cannot help but wonder how much all these insane lawsuits cost us customers for no real benefit whatsoever, beside lining the pockets of members of the legal profession.
>Oh wait.. Wikileaks has already disclosed the names and addresses of American operatives around the world. Hmmm... Well, do it again.
Did your panties also get in a bundle when the Bush Administration made the name of covert CIA operative Valerie Plame public with the kind help of Washington Post in 2003?
You underestimate them.
"Three benefits for me, one benefit for you...."
Are you talking about the app or about iPhone? ;-)

Their lawyers covered that in the EULA.
I do find it somewhat amusing and at the same time sad that someone had a Pavlovian response kicking in and decided to mod down the OP.

They are onto you for that fake NFL jersey you bought last year.
Mastercard, Visa, and PayPal allow purchases of these items every day the world over.
FYI PayPal recently closed a Swedish online retailers account for selling titles that contain words like sex and violence.
