Touchscreens are useful for certain situations. It's like the use of Flash on webpages. There is a time and a place for Flash (youtube wouldn't have been half as good without it, for example) but when most of the Flash you see is annoying banner ads, entire websites made of Flash or 5-minute unskippable intros for sites with no real content then you start wanting to reject it completely.
(cue comments about Flash security risk blah blah blah...Hopefully you get my point.)
Are we still animals where each and every individual must be capable of defending themselves against predators?
Yes. Your basement might be a safe place for you but at some point you're going to have to go out in to the world and you will find it's an nasty place. That doesn't mean you have to be a nasty person but you should be ready to deal with them when you meet people who are.
brotip: if you get doored, it may not be your fault.
i've ridden for years in the city and look way far ahead anytime i'm on my bike. didn't notice a head in a driver's side seat ahead? tough luck, you've got a door in your face.
For some, maybe. Part of the reason I ride to work is that it's quicker cheaper and easier. The fact that it's environmentally friendly and healthy is just a bonus. I work in a city (Bristol, UK...it's hardly New York) and live in the suburbs. It takes me about 20 minutes to ride to work - quicker than driving or getting the bus.
you can't just put a basket in a storage locker with a placard atop it reading FUSION, then come back in fifty years and expect to find something in the basket.
Correct me if I'm wrong but IIRC f-spot is a photo manager not a photo editor and used to come bundled with Ubuntu along with the Gimp. It's not really surprising that it's a poor replacement seeing as it was never supposed to be a replacement and is a different piece of software with different goals. The Gimp was dropped because most people don't need it. I.e. the functions that the programme provides were deemed to be not needed in a default ubuntu install and were therefore removed (not replaced). If you need the gimp you can still install the gimp, it just takes a couple of extra clicks.
No, no and no.
Are you saying we may as well be left for dead?
but I'll wait now until they've thought this through. Maybe I'll just upgrade my PC instead.
Have you seen Avatar at all? 3D wasn't used as a gimmick there. Avatar used 3D as a TOOL.
Sure, because Avatar was hugely original and would have stood up on the strength of its story alone.
I guess it must be some kind of underground settlement. There's no basement that could hold a whole town's-worth of people.

That'll be why it's called "Asperger's Syndrome" then.
Oh, wait...
But surely this is because the smaller/weaker ones are more likely to be bullyable?

Doesn't OSX do this?
You ever opened the error console and scrolled down on /.? The amount of needless javascript is hilarious!

Maybe, but Max Payne would do something about it.
If I could find some bitches I'd keep them to myself.

We should also just get rid of guns[...]
Sounds great!
This isn't a post decrying Microsoft. Surely it's just a post to remind all those people using the RC to download a cracked copy of the final?
Oh, wow! My first ever WHOOSH! What should I do?
French, not French-Kissing.
Because you haven't considered the fact that you'll need money to get there. And people with money can be swayed by sufficiently shiny artwork.

Of course not. The basket would catch fire.
Interesting. Maybe having the words "unstable development" on the main screenshot isn't the best idea though...
Pre-sales tension?

What was it replaced with?
