I agree with you that if a large number of companies jump ship it would hurt the ISO, but I doubt it will happen any time soon. Don't get me wrong. I'd love for it to happen but the cynic in me doesn't see it...

However, if people start viewing the ISO as irrelevant and just doing what a big company like Microsoft wants, then they run the risk of becoming irrelevant. That might be the kind of thing they take notice of.

Isn't that already happening? Are not some governments in Europe already viewing the ISO as irrelevant?

About the entire nature of 0. What is 0? Is it like infinity? The opposite of everything is nothing? I am not a math person by any stretch (and all of this pondering here pure speculation) but as I understand 0 it is the absence of any value. Looking at this statement 0+0>0 makes me think we are looking at 2 sets of 0 values. Do we need to count each set of values? While the answer is not > 1 it is > 0 because we have 2 sets of 0. Also in the same case what about 0+0? Could the answer really in fact be 2?

  14. A Different View on Should Scientists Date People Who Believe Astrology? · · Score: 1

I know I am going to get slammed on here for this, however Astrology is far more than just predictive. In fact the few Astrologers I know have said that the worse part of Astrology is trying to predict the future because it is so inaccurate. When you look at a person's natal chart, which is a snapshot of the planetary positions at birth, all you see are the Astrological conditions of that person's birth. One Astrologer told me it is just a tool to help you figure out what makes a person tick. It is akin to the Nature vs Nurture argument where the question is a person made up of his DNA or the environment in which he is raised? Now as I believe it is a combination of Nature/Nurture and Astrology. Look at all 3 aspects and you can get a good understanding of who you are. It is really just a tool for self-exploration, for looking inward and understand the whys of who you are more than any predictive tool.

How to ad lib off the cuff. The time I spent playing D&D formed one of the core foundations of who I am today. Gary. Thank you for helping me become who I am. Thank you for everything. I've read a few comments here stating if this comes to pass how radio stations will start playing indie content. I don't think that will happen. Radio will continue as it was the only difference being the cost of doing business will have gone up. The price of advertising on radio will go up and in some small way that cost will trickle down to the average consumer.
