The GOP cited that in their rule change for Supreme Court justices. Before it was limited only to lower courts.
The rule was in place after the GOP refused to hear any Obama nominees. It was warned back then that it will come back to bite them in the ass and sure enough it did.
The one thing not coded in the constitution though is how many justices sit on the Supreme Court. That is actually in the Judicial Act of 1869 which set the number of justices to 9. It had been as high as 10 previously. But there is nothing stopping them if they have the votes to create a bill allowing more justices to be on the court and start flooding the court with them.
If you include the web archive for the LoC - then you are looking at just over 600 TB for 1 LoC unit.
As of July of last year the LoC has archived about 545 TB of web data, and add about 5 TB a month on top of that. In addition in 2012 the data size of the books and other media was about 15 TB.
The Electoral College is due to the fact we live in a republic- the number of electoral votes is equal to the sum of the house and senate.
A better approach would be to divide the Electoral College votes proportionally to the vote cast in the sate. This would then still give candidates incentive to campaign in smaller or less populated states.
If we where to go to a straight out popular vote only then people will complain that it is always the big states like California and New York that decide every election and as such Presidential candidates will likely only stop in those larger cities along the costs and be damned to fly over country as they call it.
Based on your logic all sales taxes and their equivalents should also go away, after all all our money is taxed twice minimum. First we pay taxes when we earn our paychecks then we have to pay tax on those already taxed dollars when we purchase goods.
Except that the Minneapolis metro area is the 16th largest metropolitan area by population in the US. So I would say a fair number of people live there. Now if you move say more than 30 miles outside the metro, the populations drop off fast.
There are a few exceptions of course like Rochester which is home to the famed Mayo Clinic.
In related news - one of the first reporters to tweet about the story works for the Financial Times has a rather unfortunate name relating to deadly machines. The reporters name being Sarah O'Connor.
except Clinton didn't take office until 1993, the election was in 1992 yes but Inauguration isn't until January the next year. But hey don't let facts stand in your way of being a troll.
Kind of hard to pause something the said they wanted to do. Which means they didn't even start it. Maybe notes on the back of a napkin. But that would be giving them to much credit.
This is about holding customers hostage on promised upgrades and throwing a tantrum over possible Title II reclassification. Even though they already enjoy the benefits of Title II (subsidies) without having to be classified as such.
Hell any proposal for the government to do anything would be automatically rejected as "the wrong thing" by Ron Paul as he is against all forms of government spending, regardless of how many lives are at stake (excluding, of course, his own).
So if he is against all government spending he should return his paychecks then.
actually it is - 32 teams 53 players per active roster 10 players per practice squad (not active for game days so doesn't count) 22 coaches per team
so that would come out to 2720 personnel - but even then during the preseason I believe they announced each side would get something like 13 Surface Tablets on the sidelines and 12 to use in the coaches box.
so that is 25 per side per game - with at max 16 games (weeks 1-3 and 12-17 I believe) that would be at most 800 tablets in use any given week.
For get-togethers the easiest thing to use is just plain old cards. The number of games that can be had from just a couple decks is great. Common games for us - Blackjack, Hearts, Pinochle, Poker, etc
for more entertainment you could always Check out Cards again Humanity for those with a twisted sense of humor.
Wrong again, it is just Pocahontas in Space

Is that people still willingly have windows phones?
the how about the alternate approach? Instead of winner take all make the splits based on the states popular vote and divide them up accordingly.
